If I could give less than 1 star, I would!…read more This is your not so friendly PSA to NOT use Talbott Propane! We had stopped using them because our favorite salesman had left due to issues there, but we hadn't yet needed a refill. All of a sudden, Talbott showed up one day and filled our tank, and stuck a bill in our door (we weren't home). Out of nowhere. We hadn't called. We hadn't requested gas. Nothing we have ever had to do before to get them to come out. My husband called Talbott and was informed we had been put as one of their "route" customers, where they come and fill you up routinely, since we were customers in good standing. Not once did we ever request to be route customers. Not once did they call to see if we wanted to be, or to offer that service to us to accept or decline. Nope. Essentially, they forced their product on us, and were demanding payment for their product. The first guy my husband spoke to said he understood our frustration and that we could pay whenever we got around to it. My husband told him to come suck the gas out, and he declined. The second person tried calling ME on Friday and apparently didn't like what she got, because I told her that she wouldn't like it too much if I was selling stuff and went and stuck it through her Mail Drop and then forced her to pay for it, so she offered to have someone suck the gas out. I told her I'd talk to my husband and get back to her. In discussing that, my husband and I became increasingly worried that, with their already known unethical business practices, they would come suck ALL our gas out and we wouldn't have any control over it. We don't trust these folks at ALL. Especially with the freeze coming (we have electric heat, but we do have gas appliances and need to eat). Now today, Mrs. Talbott herself called my husband, and accused him of not paying our bill, which he explained the situation and how we aren't route customers and it was HER shady business that made there be an outstanding bill. She accused him of using stolen gas to heat our house right now, and I guess she wasn't expecting to hear that we are warm due to electricity, lol. Anyhow, my husband told her she can have her $336 and that we will make sure everyone knows exactly what kind of business she runs and what kind of person she is. So, use Talbott at your own risk. They might decide they need money, so they'll stick you on a route without your knowledge and then extort money from you for a product/service you did not request. Maybe they wouldn't need money so badly if they ran an honest business and didn't treat employees terribly. ‍

HP propane used to be a great place to do business with until today, I ran out pf propane Monday…read moreafternoon, called HP Tuesday and set up for a tank fill and tank level gauge replacement on Wednesday, they called and needed to make it on Thursday and I agreed no problem. Today their truck showed up, and technician was in the process of removing the screws on the gauge and said they were striping out I offered to help him and went and got a small pipe wrench that would fit on screw heads. Technician said the heads of the screws would break off and went back to using the screwdriver as a removal tool. The tech said he had put some propane in the tank and I could see it leaking from around the gauge he was trying to remove, when I asked him about the leak, he said it was OK It was just a small leak and then told me my propane tank had been empty for a long time I informed him it had been empty for two days and how did he determine it had been empty for a long time? there was no answer, at this point I told him to get someone out to do the job that new what they were doing, and I guess I hurt his feelings because he left, I called the office to talk to the owners and was later told I hurt more feelings and not to call them back again they would not do business with me again. Bottom line is due to their technician my propane tank now leaks around the gauge that they now say they can't replace, and they said it's not their fault Its mine because I asked them to replace the gauge? I don't have any propane, and I have been banned from doing business with them. Oh, and by the way I only have done business 1 time in the last five years or so according to the owner so they don't need me. Don't check your records for all the times I filled bottles outside for my RV. or the fact you charge full price to fill any bottle even if its half full when you fill it. sorry for contributing to your small town busness and you are corect I will not break your busness in the least but I can only hope to help anyone else to be perpaired for what may be in store if doing busness with your Company.
