I looked and looked for something different than the fried fish, pre-prepared tapas places and the Irish pubs that abound here. One place caught my eye. The restaurant is called El Canto del Agua and it is located right after Playa Tully. Nancy (from Argentina) is the proprietor. She is an interior decorator, hence, the loving touches. I was going to order the shrimp brochettes, but thank goodness Nancy passed by to talk about the hot stone concept of cooking. Now, I rarely cook, and when I do, it isn't very palatable, and I hardly ever eat red meat, so I was super skeptical about cooking the steak at my table on my own. But, it is their specialty and Nancy is Argentinean, so she would know, so I figured I should give it a go and ordered the smallest entrecôte (sirloin rumpback?) on the menu. Oh. My. Gosh. I truly think that it was the best steak I've ever had. Argentine beef, apparently, is the best. Nancy showed me how to prepare/cook it and it was so EASY!
