The course is long; playing around 6300 from the whites and 6700 from the blues. Greens and fairways are in excellent condition but the rough here is murder. If you do not keep the ball in the fairway you are in real trouble on this course. The opening hole is fairly easy letting you warm up. However by the time you get to number 4 you need to be playing well since the holes become increasingly tough. There are small narrow well marked creeks around the property. They are tiny but a real problem if you are not careful. The only real draw back to the course is the bunkers. They were hard packed but there was heavy rain the day before so crews may not have racked them the day I played there. Pin placements are very challenging but fair. The 10th hole is visually one of the nicer holes on the course. The 11th hole is a long par 5 with a monster green which slopes back to front. Very tricky putt if you are above the pin for a center pin placement. The number one stroke hole is a 436 yd monster. You need two really go shots to get there in regulation. Nice course, a great deal of fun to play.

Well, I was surprised. Friendly staff at the concession area. Nice tables. Very clean. Very clean bathroom. Small Pro Shop, and it was closed but I walked in and grabbed a score card... no one freaked out or yelled at me. Nice. Has a great feel Lyman Goade is the pro, and he runs the place. Very well kept up greens. I golfed on Saturday the 26th of March 2022. Packed. Booked my tee time in advance. This course used to be called "Riverbend" and I know why... lots of water. Taunton River runs through it. Lots of water traps. Also add in the two days before we had 2 inches of rain. Drainage works. Some soft and bouncy areas - it did not hinder my game. Very well kept. If you get your tee time in advance, you'll get on. I saw a couple of fellas walk in and pay for two 9s walking... at 3:30 when I was knoshing on a hot dog. No negatives whatsoever. 29MAR2022
