Found on tiktok, overhyped imo and service wasn't very good. Took a long time to get my order taken. $23 for everything in the photo! 6/10

Gamma is the main store where you purchase your housewares supplies and decor in Amsterdam. For…read moreactual home supplies this is the first stop to make. What I appreciate about Gamma is that they have more variety as far as home improvement needs. Gamma became the second store that we made a lot of trips to when remodeling our place. I'm leaning more towards Gamma because it's one of the largest home improvement companies in Holland. However, the only thing that discouraged me about this store is that we could not get proper answers to our questions from their employees. The employees lacked knowledge on house-ware items and their products. Something the management team may need to improve on. Most importantly employees should not only know their products but how to give recommendations to the customers. It's so disappointing when they aren't familiar with either options. Here is just some good old conventional wisdom for management and higher up.

Meesterslijpers is hands down the easiest company to purchase from if you want European Le Creuset…read moreand need it shipped to the US. I've ordered from their site a few times now and the items are always well packed and show up incredibly fast. There's no additional charges because they calculate any tariffs or taxes up front and what you pay at checkout is what you pay, period. Shell Pink Le Creuset is very hard to find in the US and Chiffon Pink, while being more common, is usually bought out before I get to it, so I love that Meesterslijpers' keeps the Shell Pink color in stock. All in all, it's a fantastic business and I highly appreciate their prompt shipping and high attention to detail so I'll absolutely keep coming back for more Shell Pink Le Creuset!

It caters more to contractors, businesses, but also open to "regular" customers people! The only catch is you need to order ahead of time online. This is due to the current Covid restrictions which requires you to order from home improvement stores online and then pick up hours or the next day later. The Noord area is up and coming - lots of new and huge apartment buildings and hotels. This is close to the ferry in the west and right across the harbor from the main side of Amsterdam. Reminds me of Hong Kong and their northern territories. This store has a lot of parking and easy to get through from the Ij tunnel if going by car. I had to go here since the local Toolstation didn't have what I needed and they weren't able to delivery in the post (not sure why). (This should be my 500th review on here. I made the mistake of not looking at their address and the next day spent an hour wandering Amsterdam till I remembered they were off a major city square and thankfully found them again. I can safely say that they truly are a unique shop as I think I looked at most of the souvenir shops in Amsterdam trying to find this one again. Great prices, adorable unique gifts I didn't see in any other stores, and a wonderfully kind and helpful staff! They are conventionally located off the famous Palace and Dam square and should be your first stop for souvenirs in Amsterdam!

The shop isn't big but sells many love things! Home decorations (WHICH I LOVE), beautiful jewellery, jam (really), flowers and art. All kinds of lovely things. So, this street is getting better and better :) This shop is a must-visit if your in the area. It isn't cheap but they sell many lovely things worth the money.
