Gamma is the main store where you purchase your housewares supplies and decor in Amsterdam. For…read moreactual home supplies this is the first stop to make. What I appreciate about Gamma is that they have more variety as far as home improvement needs. Gamma became the second store that we made a lot of trips to when remodeling our place. I'm leaning more towards Gamma because it's one of the largest home improvement companies in Holland. However, the only thing that discouraged me about this store is that we could not get proper answers to our questions from their employees. The employees lacked knowledge on house-ware items and their products. Something the management team may need to improve on. Most importantly employees should not only know their products but how to give recommendations to the customers. It's so disappointing when they aren't familiar with either options. Here is just some good old conventional wisdom for management and higher up.

Very disappointing and concerning experience…read more The contractor sent by Mr Fix had no apparent experience. He was invited for simple tasks such as hanging a lamp, yet he spent four hours attempting the same task without success. In the end, he damaged a brand new lamp and failed to complete the work. When we asked him to leave he became aggressive. The contractor also behaved in a rude and aggressive manner in the group WhatsApp chat that included Mr Fix, yet no action was taken. Mr Fix took zero accountability for this situation. Despite clearly explaining that I was uncomfortable communicating with the contractor after this incident, they repeatedly forced me to deal with him directly. When I attempted to resolve the issue directly with Mr Fix, they refused to handle it and continued pushing me back to the contractor. To make matters worse, their CEO ultimately told me via WhatsApp to "leave him alone." This completely defeats the purpose of using a platform like Mr Fix. There is no customer protection, no accountability, and no support when something goes wrong.

I would not recommend their electrician service to anybody. They're clearly scammers who are trying to wrack up bills for people who don't know better.
