We held a family reunion here at Myers Cave Resort. We rented both the historic farm house and two…read morecottages to enable us to sleep 34 people (some were babies with their own cribs). All the facilities have just been redone, giving every surface a clean welcoming appearance. Both the cottages and the main house are very well equipped with new dishes and appliances, a rare thing in cottage country. In fact the farm house has nothing lacking - there are enough dishes for 40 for dinner plus all the cooking dishes. The new pool and spa are a great addition, as the only complaint is the lake bottom is boggy so not very nice to walk on if you are swimming and there are a great deal of lake weeds. However it was possible to swim and enjoy all the water craft that are also included with the rental. They have thoughtfully provided all the water front equipment such as life jackets in all sizes, beach toys for the children and lounging chairs. The onsite staff are very attentive and friendly. The cost is not cheap, but as with many things you get what you pay for - this cottage/resort living provides you with comfort and some luxuries you are simply not going to get elsewhere. There is something for all ages to do. And yes we would stay here again and recommend it for a group or family stay.

If I could give this resort 10 stars, I would! We stayed in the lakeview cottage in August 2015…read more The 2 bedroom cottage was modern and spotless with everything you would expect from a resort including clean towels, bed linens, and dish soap! The cottage is right on the water where you have all day access to the paddle boats, canoes, and beach volley ball. It was only 20 degrees when we got there so it was too cold to swim in the lake, but the outdoor pool was like bath water (I think about 88 degrees) and the outdoor hot tub was a nice place to relax in the evening. There is also a fire pit that could comfortably fit 10-15 people! Finally, the hospitality there was always courteous and friendly. This is a great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors with your family. I would definitely recommended this resort to my family and friends and will be back again next summer!

The Great Pines .....The Great DISAPOINTMENT!!!…read more I am an old customer of the former North Woods INN which is now under New Ownership, GREAT PINES. I LIve 4hours SOUTH in NYC. North Woods was well worth the journey and the Karoke {wkends) was special! Staff friendly and extremely helpful--stayed at the inn Four(4) occasions! I booked a reservation in February 2023 for May2023--a group of six(6) in Three(3) KING ROOMS(@ $280.00 each). I did not hear or have any communication with THE PINES until I CALLED THEM five (5) days before Our arrival in May. I spoke with a fast-talking employee who informed me that the KITCHEN was closed until June One-also the kitchen at the pub bar located just outside the main lodge. I was also branded"rude" by her because of my concerns. I also tried to calm us BOTH down but, SHE was having none of it! Our conversation ended on a very sarcastic " have a nice day!" The whole resasoning of traveling to this resorts was the Fact that ONE DID NOT HAVE TO DRIVE while eating and having a few drinks--NO DUi ! I called leaving a message for the OWNER(S) which was not addressed.. I did not persue a Refund for the monies put down for the reservations--THIS REVIEW is worth the price of Saving even one person from booking a stay. It is a very sad commentary to experience this unprofessional business attitude towards new and/or old customers. What kind of RESORT lets you Book in Advance and then Closes their kichens for renovations?? And dont inform their outstanding reseservation until way past the cancellation period?? Good Luck if this place remains your choice--stay in touch with them especially if you re coming to them from a distance.
