I had 2 Aussie friends visiting Berlin, and they asked if I am curious enough to try a pub crawl…read morewith them. I said I am kind of skeptical, since it sounds like a bunch of loud tourists crawling drunk on the street ....They said this one is different, since it is an "anti" pub crawl....if you cause any loud noises on the street, any annoyance of others on the event...you are out.
The tour includes visits to 5 bars in prenzlauer berg and free entrance to a club at the end.
So off we went, Meeting point at the Yesterday Bar, Metzer Strasse 2, Ubahn (U2) Senefelderplatz...A nice bar typical for the area, not too big...not too small....and fairly priced
Had a beer, and chatted with people from all over the globe, visiting Berlin: Australians, middle eastern, eastern europeans, americans.....many curious and cool people...telling their crazy travel stories.
The tour went from bar to bar and ended in a club in Wedding
I loved the choice of bars...most of them I have never been to, and the staff there was totally friendly, and not for just grabbing cash from the tourists.
The club at the end was not exactly my taste (too dark, electronic music too dull and monoton), but hey it is free entrance, and at the weekend we were at, it was packed and seemed popular.
All in all a good experience. Even for an "old Berliner" like my self....
