My niece and nephew were just enrolled to this daycare. There is a particular boy that put his hands on my nephew and the school did nothing about it. As of yesterday, the same boy threw a toy at my niece, which landed directly under her eye. The school's policy states that any child over the age of 3 with such misconduct would receive punishment up to suspension. IF these two incidents are his only offense, the policy would at least require for a parent to come get him immediately. But once again, nothing was done. What has me incredibly upset is that the director had the nerve to tell my sister, the mother, that if she's uncomfortable, she can go ahead and remove her children from the school. According to the director, the injury on my niece's face is insignificant. Stating "am I missing something?" As of today, the boy once again almost threw another toy at her until a teacher stepped in. This is beyond unacceptable. I'm doing my best not to come to the conclusion that this is a race issue, because the little offender is a white boy and my niece and nephew are American born Nigerians. I am requiring that something be done about this immediately. I will also be calling the necessary department to make an official report. read more
