Let me start out stating I was referred to Edward Fu, atty. In August of 2014. I had spent the…read moreprior 8 years caring for my very ill mother, while trying to maintain a full-time career, as well as, attempting to prevent myself from racking up a ton of debt in the process. This did not happen, and I was not proud of it. From the first interaction with Edward, I felt at ease. At no point did I feel judged, persuaded or pressured in any way. He provided me with a clear picture of my options (bankruptcy options), and a kind understanding of my situation. I was in no situation to be able to pay for a bankruptcy in full at that time, so I placed a small retainer, and continued to make payments as I could, once I had made all the payments we would proceed. Little did I know, this was the beginning of a professional relationship that would continue in the future. Jan 2015, I had a surgery that came with multiple complications, as well as, an inability to proceed as I had originally anticipated. Edward continued to remain patient, kind, understanding, and never pressuring. He was still willing to work with me, within my abilities. Fast forward.... To March 22nd, 2018. My family member had passed away, leaving myself, as well as, other family members listed as heirs to his estate.
