Prosser Piano wouldn't sell more a floor model digital piano or the last digital piano of a certain style since they "can't order more". Super weird for a piano store. Went to Ted Brown and 2 gentleman sold me this great digital piano that was a FLOOR MODEL. They even took it apart for me to fit in my car Thankful

After trying several used pianos, none of which had the sound I wanted, I played 3 different Kawai models--used and new--to compare how they sounded and their key action. I don't know how anyone can buy a piano without playing it or being able to compare it with others. I told Rick what I was looking for and he showed me the used pianos and the brands I was interested in, mainly Kawai and Yamaha. He was encouraging and helpful. I didn't feel pressured for time or to buy. Ultimately I chose a new Kawai 200. Rick and I agreed on a price and my piano was delivered within a week by the piano movers that Prosser uses. Fortunately Rick had prepared me that the piano would get increasingly out of tune until it was ready to be tuned 6 weeks after acclimating to my home. After it was tuned, I don't think I could have loved its sound more! Any of you with an instrument you have loved can understand how hard it is to finally give it up. I tried pianos at Tacoma's and Seattle's Prosser's but put the decision off for about 2 years because I was afraid I'd regret my purchase, that I wouldn't love its sound at least as much as the piano I'd played for 40 years. It's been a year and I couldn't be happier with my new Kawai 200! I made the perfect choice at Prossers and suggest the store's wide selection of new and used pianos where so many choices are at your fingertips literally. Celia

I had the weirdest experience. I went in to buy a new digital piano on October 21st around 4pm. I…read moredecided to go with the Kawai C59 for around $3000. I brought the full amount and everything. Well the old man on the floor told me everything that is on the floor is not for sale. Which was weird but it's very showroom-esque in there so I went with it. Well I saw a boxed up Kawai C49 which wasn't sold. So I told the guy, I'll take that one. He then tells me that he can't sell that one because it's the last one in the store. Now I'm officially confused & felt a little weird. I've never heard of this and he said "the last one always gets used as a floor model, I can't sell you this" and then tries to sell me a Roland. I went to Ted Brown music across the street. Found a really nice Yamaha digital piano for $1800 with stand and bench & it was the floor model. Ted Brown Music even took it apart for me to make sure it fit in my car. I'm a pretty popular musician in the Pacific Northwest & am officially telling everyone to run from Prosser Piano in Tacoma.

This is the least professional business I have ever dealt with. I tried to consign some equipment…read morewith them and everything was shady at best: 1. I was never asked what I wanted to sell things for, only told that they would sell for x amount. 2. I was never notified when things sold unless I drove to the store (no one answers the phone, and I have multiple phone records to prove this) and physically waited for someone to show up. 3. I was never shown any receipts of what things were sold for just a "i think it sold for this much" 4. Their "business hours" are literally just numbers on a door, the doors never open on time. 5. There are 0 price tags on any of the items. This means they can sell things for what they want and turn around and tell folks that have equipment consigned they it sold for considerably less. They pocket the rest. 6. There is a wall of filled out consignment slips behind the cash register which means nothing consigned is getting sold! 7. One piece of equipment that I consigned that I noticed was no longer on the sales floor, the owner told me the sales guy was "borrowing" for a gig. He "does that from time to time with some of the equipment". 8. The consignment "paperwork" was initially done on the back of a business card. That should have been a warning sign for me, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. While I have to give the owner credit for being the shrewdest businessman I've ever dealt with (he undercut me by $150 when i needed to sell everything to them due to me moving) the whole experience cost me more in gas money and wasted time than what I was able to make from the equipment I tried to sell. It's very unfortunate that I have to write this, and also given the previous bad review on here, it makes complete sense. For anyone that wants to consign equipment, make the extra trip elsewhere. If you're looking to buy, I would definitely bring someone that can negotiate well. I genuinely think these people mean well, they just run a business that is all based on their "word".
