While it may look intimidating from the outside, the guys inside this heavily wooden panelled step back in time are so friendly and helpful. As a woman it feels like all men's clothes look the same, but these guys will help you through the cuts and shapes or whatever these shirts are called with warmth and knowledge. Ignored all of my emails and shipped goods regardless. Failed to update website photos after I pointed out their error. Only comms was via Paypal when I disputed the transaction. Briefest of responses with no names provided. No sense of urgency or effort on their part. I had to drive the whole thing through PayPal and the seller's own couriers to eventually get a refund several weeks after having the money taken out of my account.

While I wouldn't say I was disappointed with One, I would say I wasn't bowled over. The clothes really are expensive, and even with a sale on, I couldn't find all that much I liked, and to be honest, the money side of things put me off properly hunting. There were a few stunning garments in the sale, and yes, I did spot a gorgeous dress for £30, but when I asked myself did I really need it, the answer was no, and I would probably find something equally as nice for a bit cheaper elsewhere. As far as the full-price new season stuff was concerned, I decided against having a look, for fear of my eyes popping out of my head at the prices. The style of many of the clothes isn't really my thing - I like cute prints, florals, skinny jeans, shirts and that sort of thing, but most of this stuff was a bit too eclectic for me. I have to say, they're prices I wouldn't pay, but I'm a bargain hunter and don't see the point in paying full price for something you can get discounted elsewhere (or the same thing, minus the label and about £50!) So because of this it's not a store I'd highly recommend but if you're a label-a-holic then you'd probably really like it. They sell Bench, Super Dry, Lee Cooper *insert label here* type clothes. Some of their stuff is quite nice, but their prices just aren't!

You can often find men's rugby team polo shirts (England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales etc) for as little as £5. They also sell shoes and trainers in here at very low prices. If you like the Guinness brand of clothing (yes the merchandise from Guinness beer/stout) then you will find plenty of it in here at fantastic prices. I was awarded honours for Drama when I was at school and went here to buy the special blazer, it was £90 which was a bit of a rip-off, but it was the only place you could buy the blazers so I don't really blame them for marking the prices up. Baillies is a Bangor institution and has been around for over five decades, supplying the young, old and men somewhere in between with suits, trousers, shirts, t-shirts, jackets, coats and knitwear. Despite the prices being of a slightly higher nature, Baillies often has really good discounts (hence why my dad loves it so), and you'll find yourself surprised at the bargains available. And yes, I know you're thinking I'm female (and you'd be perfectly correct), but I've been in Baillies many times before...with my dad of course. If you're a pupil at one of Bangor's schools, you can be sure to find your uniform at Baillies. I can't speak for this aspect of the shop, as I went to school in Belfast, but it seems Robbie (the previous reviewer) has a fair grasp on everything school uniform related, so I'll let you read his for information about that. Baillies is a great little shop, with plenty of variety and great service. I just know my dad would be proud to hear me say that...
