The lady I dealt with was rude, curt, unhelpful and wanting to charge $95 just to come out to generate a quote AND also asking us to provide a credit card up front because they thought we were going to cheat them. One of our managers had contacted them, to inquire about a quote before I called and unfortunately he didn't have all of the information needed which is why I called and the same lady I got, went on and on and on of how difficult he was etc. Obviously if I'm calling you I have a problem, I don't want to hear YOU complain and nag about what YOU think is difficult. If customer service is too hard for you then don't do it. I just want an answer if you can help me or not. At the end they decided the job was too difficult.

Pipeline Plumbing & Heating, Squamish called within 15 minutes and was at our home within the hour. The technician was professional and courteous and solved our issue, much to our relief. If we need plumbing done in future, Pipeline gets our business and we will be very comfortable referring friends to this company. The other two companies have yet to return our call.

This bunch does NOT stand behind their work in our experience. They seem to have no real interest…read morein tweaking things that are probably minor, maybe not, but they won't come to see what is causing the problems. And, a pretty strong whiff of a coverup of a faulty installation for the one problem that they did come to see and 'fix' (which term is a bit questionable). Hate to think how long they would take 'fixing' problems, IF they would ever come to take a look in the first place! Repeated phone calls (too bad we didn't keep a diary of those), brainstorming as to how to 'shame' them into coming to see....nothing works. Buyer beware, and shame on our contractor who used this outfit in the first place. The usual Whistler story: no taking responsibility for their work. Take the money and run.

On Boxing Day 2022 our hot water tank and boiler system decided to quit, spring a leak and flood…read moreour basement. I called APH Mechanical as they advertise 24 hour emergency service. Andrew was quick to reply and offer us a replacement system for $10,900. My brother in law is a plumber in the interior and he advised that the quote was probably $2,500 +/- overpriced, but we were in a pinch and it was the holidays. I agreed to move ahead with the overpriced install as we had a tenant moving in in 5 days. Sadly, this is where everything went further down hill. Upon installation, the hot water tank did not work. He had to get a new mother board for it (I believe now he probably sold us a used, or refurbished model). Andrew spent a week at our home every day trying to figure out the wiring and piping so the unit would actually work; I'm confident that he just rigged something together so he could get out of there and it would eventually fail, which is exactly what happened, despite the fact that he guaranteed me he installs tons of these IBC units and they are a bulletproof system. In May, we started getting more errors (F002 and F011) and the tank system would shut off. I tried reaching out to Andrew as he told me there was a 1 year warranty on the install, but he was a ghost and did not reply. It is now November, and the tank shuts down and has error codes on it every day. I have tried texting, emailing and leaving voicemails and only recently did he reply to my email saying he is on vacation until next year and I would have to take it up with someone else. So, since May I have been trying to reach him, but no answer and now he is conveniently on vacation until the warranty period that he told me about is over? In his email stating he was away for another 2 months, he said I most likely need an additional unit for the tank, which retail is $1,500, plus re-piping and labor, so easily looking at another $3,000. So all in all, $14,000 for a hot water tank ? His quote clearly stated it was a complete system, and the top of the line tank that could handle anything, and now it's not adequate to even run my kids a bath? I'm stuck with an $11,000 system that is 10 months old that doesn't work and apparently requires more work to do simple tasks like bath and run the dishwasher. The guy is a crook, his prices are through the roof, he is a liar and he ghosts people when issues arise (another guy posted this recently too). All he cares about is getting your money and getting out of there. He literally told me that he was "rich" and only does this job because he enjoys it. Who says that, especially to a client that you just took to the cleaners? Please do not hire the one man grease show that is APH Mechanical.
