I went here once to try and get a stick of RAM. The one I needed wasn't in stock. He kept insisting it would work and that he had never heard of RAM being incompatible. Also, for some reason, he kept saying "I want to sell you computers. I want to sell you computers." He didn't even know what processor I was talking about, even though I told him both "I7 920" and "Nehalem", and insisted he probably knows it under different terminology. He either did not know what he was talking about, or he thought I was some pigeon who had always gone to Walmart for computers, and upon discovering his place would take his word as gospel. A few days later they had to leave that location and didn't have a spot to move to. That was in October. Today, 12/23/10, their website still claims they are looking for a place. I emailed them in early October and told them they had my hard drive. Joby answered the email and said they were working out of people's apartments until they found a permanent location and that he had ordered a new PCB board for the drive. That's the last I've heard from him. He has ignored subsequent emails, a message left on the phone number, and a message to his Facebook account. This is unconscionable. Imagine the identity-theft risk he has put me at if he gave the drive to someone else. (I'm not saying he did, but since I can't get an answer from him, I don't know.) If he ever opens another shop, I'd say avoid it. The fact that they had to leave the Magazine Street location while they supposedly were in the process of renovating it was extremely strange. And his total lack of responsiveness to a customer doesn't bode well for the quality of his service.
