I originally left these guys a good review because they're nice. But I've since had to return my car 3 times, these guys aren't too sharp. I've had to return my car several times to get the two items fixed that I took it to them for. I won't be back. They don't check their work before releasing it to the customer. They put in an all new brake system and the e-brake does nothing when I get it back, but they tell me "we fixed the e brake." I've got news, it wasn't broken. However after they overhaul the car, it doesn't do anything.
So I return it, get it back, and test it. At that point, it sorta works, but doesn't hold he car in place. So I get to return it again. Not to mention there is a thumping noise showing up in the rear that wasn't there before. Also I got a hold of a new new steering system and had them put it in. When I get the car back the steering systems leaks a lot. Do these guys check ANYTHING before releasing it to the customer?
Update:Upon reading my review while my car was in there the 4th time, the owner of the shop is stand offish and finally greets me with hostility when approaching me and wants to know if I think they are bozos. I tell him that I don't think they are bad guys, and I appreciate their due diligence in trying to get the problems addressed ...but upon spending serious serous cash in there, I don't expect to have to bring it back so many times. I consider them professionals and to take care of stuff the first time. If I wanted noises and leaks, I would've attempted this myself at home and saved some money, or to have to write a review on yelp in order to get someone to finally take the time to take a ride with me to figure out what noise Im talking about.
I basically tell him everything I left in the review, to his face since he really wanted to get into it.
He was pretty damn ornery and I don't agree with his way of handling conflicts.
I reached out my hand to shake his hand and suggested we move past this. He seemed hesitant to shake hands or have a positive outcome from the conversation
Update: A few months after the headache with these guys I took my car to another shop in town regarding the disturbing noise in the rear end that kept showing up within 5 miles of leaving this shop each time.
I told the new shop that the unnamed shop, these guys, said keep driving it, it's just the noise of the rear end getting broken in. I mentioned to the new shop that the rear end had been taken apart a few times because it kept leaking after a new gear ratio was put in, and I was getting disturbing thumping noises.
I had put all of 50 miles on it since I had gotten the thing rebuilt and resealed and yet resealed again.
The new shop says it's a good thing you parked it and decided to bring it in because that rear end was dry.
Cost me $600 to reseal the rear end that tec repair put in, and resealed 2 additional times.
I took it to the new shop once, and it was good. They also said they found metal shavings in the case and that who knows how long this rear end will last even now that it has fluid.
Yes, it would be nice to not have to pay another shop to fix what I already paid to have done here. Whatever. Hopefully they have better mechanics now.
Just don't be thinking someone left you a bad review cause they're a jerk. I gave plenty of opportunity to right the situation and still paid someone else to fix your repeated errors. Maybe not the fault of the owner, maybe more so your mechanic, for not sealing the rear end properly time and time again, but what is the fault of the owner is getting ticked at the consumer who is irritated that he has to keep bringing his car back. The consumer who just spent 10 grand in here of which no initial estimate was given. I'm simply told we are 5 grand in and it'll be 7-8 by the time we're done. read more
