This was our first time to visit a roman Ruins and I have to say this museum was exceptional. I suggest you purchase the combination ticket that gets you into all the exhibits as well as the lift to the Castle. It is well worth the extra spend. You see not only the theatre but, the baths, the lift to the Castle and the Castle. The Castle is a nice step back into history and the views of the city from there are gorgeous. This is a must if you visit this city.
Teatro Romana is a ancient theater complex that spent millennium under slums and a nearby medieval church. Urban renewal brought it to light in 1988! The theater has been nicely excavated and is entered through a nicely curated (Spanish and English) museum that displays many of the items that were retrieved. Then you walk out into the theater itself. Gives you an idea of how it must have felt to attend performances so long ago. read more
You must see these ruins if you are visiting Cartagena. It's an easy walk from the cruise port and is only 8 euros to get in. So much interesting history about city is waiting for you to explore! read more
Roman ruins were lovely especially with the abundance of flowers growing everywhere. Views were spectacular and walking was reasonably easy if you paced yourself. It's a bit off the beaten path but well worth the visit read more

free wifi - the fams rallying cry each time we docked at a port of call, with int'l roaming so costly esp at sea. so repaired here for interneting after a tour of the city. also for churros and hot chocolate, thick and dense as i like. cheap, an order's quite enuff merienda for 3. find on a palm ringed plaza in old town a short walk from the marina. read more

Un lugar que no puedes dejar de visitar al paso por la ciudad de Cartagena. Perfectamente restaurado refleja fidedigna el pasado de Cartago.
