I also saw, but looks like other companies doing the same thing. The show is short, the ticket is affordable. The worst part of the show is how squeaky the chairs are. But it's absolutely incredible to sit and listen to this timeless music in a timeless place. I lost myself in the music while looking at these statues. I felt like I went back in time and it was wonderful. My only complaint, other than the squeaky chairs is that the entire group is made up of men. Can we dismantle the patriarchy already? There were some really cute musicians. They were so passionate and it was beautiful to watch the symmetry of their bows dancing in unison. There was a cute little mini, Italian, Chris Hemsworth, on the cello. I was like hey!!! I loved this!! a general tip for traveling, and Eli is bringing a hand fan.

The talented San Marco Chamber Orchestra featuring Soprano and Tenor soloists brought warmth and spirit to the beautiful selection of music in this period and acoustically appropriate setting in the Ateneo di San Basso on Piazza San Marco. They perform the Four Seasons on alternate nights. While there were just a few off notes, overall the performances were professional and strong. The duets brought a few tears to the eyes in our appreciative audience which responded with a standing ovation. We purchased discount tickets online, but the show was worth the full price of 28 Euros.

It was great theatre with fabulous actors. Traditional commedia dell'arte blended with modern wit and humor. Thus we decided to watch the play Titizé that was offered at the theater. Not only are the actors excellent acrobats but also they combined their athletic prowess with music (even a countertenor), and funny touches (with the disappearing act of the box cutting a person in two). We stopped in on a whim, and particularly enjoyed the performance art provided by a young actress/model and the connected iPad that we was wearing over her face. Gayle and I found ourselves part of the show as our images appeared on the screen at one point. The Gallery is located in an historic 16th century palazzetto known as Palazzo Foscari. It's a reference point for various artists and collectors, representing modern and contemporary art. We also enjoyed the wall art and came away with a few artistic trinkets and huge smiles on our faces.
