Well, mostly quiet - you get the occasional hoard of tourist groups passing under the Pesas arch, and a little moto every now and then, and even a local older couple dancing and playing flamenco hoping for tips, but it's the lovely type of neighborhood, atmospheric, gentle hustle and bustle.
Came here and sat outside in their patio for dinner with a small group. We all had the menu del dia, for 10 Euros it includes a first course, second course, bread and dessert. I had the salmorejo (cold, creamy, tomato-based soup dressed with EVOO, hard boiled egg and jamon) and the calamari, and then crem caramel (flan) for dessert. Salmorejo was simple and flavorful as it should be. Calamari was a really small portion of fried calamari; all my friends got the bacalao (cod with tons of thick tomato-based sauce on top - making the often bland cod pretty flavorful) and it was comparatively huge. So if you're really hungry, I don't recommend calamari (but you did just eat all that bread and have a first course and are holding out for dessert, right?). Crem Caramel was delicious and served with whipped cream. Had the tinto de verano to drink (like sangria but even simpler: just red wine with gaseosa, or lightly sweetened fizzy drink).
While eating here saw a mix of tourists and locals at other tables. Even saw Manolete, a famous flamenco dancer from Granada (whose pictures are plastered on the inside of the place - must be his stomping grounds) come sit at a table for a cig. Good place to hang out and linger and people watch as well with the light traffic passing through.
By far my favorite place in Plaza Larga, I'll be back!
