The hostess was incredibly welcoming and not only helped me purchase a ticket on the spot, but also walked me inside the theater to make sure I got the best seat. Depending on which show and ticket option you select from, a paella dinner is offered, which I wish I had discovered sooner! Since the seating was more theater-style, my seats at Jardines de Zoraya were better. However, the performance itself wasn't as impressive as the other shows I saw during my trip. They leaned a bit too much into contemporary elements with their outfits, when in reality, most tourists are looking for the classic flamenco experience--polka dots, ruffled dresses, and all.

The slow cooked beef was just as tender and delicious. Didn't even miss the protein in the lasagna very cheesy and delicious. Service: The wait staff was top notch. I was expecting some difficulty with language however, it was a great experience. They friendly, attentive and accommodating. Ambience: Dining in the garden is the vibe. Simply beautiful. The outside dining experience here is real special.

Fortunately, I spoke up and the waiter brought me a different bottle which was bueno!! The salmon and hake were wonderful for dinner! Wait staff were great but rushed. All the food was very good. No roof top view or dining as other flamenco tours offered. Said there would be a tour. Um... walked up a difficult rock incline to a view of Alhambra for 2 minutes. Not much of a tour. Cora our tour guide was nice but rushed to get to the next group. As far as the flamenco show, there was feed back in the sound system. They do this several times every night!!! So I don't get why the sound is not tuned in?? Very impressed with the dancing, but would have liked an explanation of what was going on, culturally, what the music/singing (sounded Arabic) represented, and why the intensity in expression of the dancers faces. No fans and couple dancing like in all the pictures/brochures. The dancers did not meet and great after the show as the were rushed to begin the next show. Not trying to sound negative, just honest. Good luck choosing a show !!

At the "cave", the restaurant, no body was there at 20:30 o'clock. Totally empty in the holiday season, were the city is breaking apart from the tourist masses. We were seated next to the three other couples, who obviously order the "Flamenco with dinner", not only with Tapas. It was described as 5 Tapas from our choice and a free drink. We asked for the menu, but they answered "no menu for you". The couple next to us got an menu and could choose, but we payed to the right to choose. We were going to discuss the situation. The heavy woman from the desk just told us that the situation is our problem. 1. They didn't give us what we payed for, not the food, not the service. 2. They treated us as second class people with few respect. 3. The food was bad quality. 4. They had no real intention to fix anything. Bottom line: This is a tourist scam.

Well, mostly quiet - you get the occasional hoard of tourist groups passing under the Pesas arch, and a little moto every now and then, and even a local older couple dancing and playing flamenco hoping for tips, but it's the lovely type of neighborhood, atmospheric, gentle hustle and bustle. Came here and sat outside in their patio for dinner with a small group. We all had the menu del dia, for 10 Euros it includes a first course, second course, bread and dessert. I had the salmorejo (cold, creamy, tomato-based soup dressed with EVOO, hard boiled egg and jamon) and the calamari, and then crem caramel (flan) for dessert. Salmorejo was simple and flavorful as it should be. Calamari was a really small portion of fried calamari; all my friends got the bacalao (cod with tons of thick tomato-based sauce on top - making the often bland cod pretty flavorful) and it was comparatively huge. So if you're really hungry, I don't recommend calamari (but you did just eat all that bread and have a first course and are holding out for dessert, right?). Crem Caramel was delicious and served with whipped cream. Had the tinto de verano to drink (like sangria but even simpler: just red wine with gaseosa, or lightly sweetened fizzy drink). While eating here saw a mix of tourists and locals at other tables. Even saw Manolete, a famous flamenco dancer from Granada (whose pictures are plastered on the inside of the place - must be his stomping grounds) come sit at a table for a cig. Good place to hang out and linger and people watch as well with the light traffic passing through. By far my favorite place in Plaza Larga, I'll be back!

Furthermore, flamenco is suppose to be small scale in an intimate setting instead of being performed on a big stage. We reserved the last table that night, second floor, but you can easily see the stage right below. The cuadro consisted of 5 people included a male and a female dancer. Not being a connoisseur of this traditional dance, I thought it was impressive and high energy. They performed for about an hour with a short break in between. The food here was much better than expected. They have all the traditional Cordoba cuisine such as salmorejo, mazamorra, flamenquin, berenjenas con miel, rabo de toro, and pastel Cordobes. We tried most of them and the taste were as good as the less touristy restaurant we ate the night before.
