The atmosphere is positive, family friendly, and focused on helping every student improve, regardless of experience level. The coaching is outstanding. Daniel trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, and MMA, while I train in Muay Thai. Since joining, we've both improved tremendously. Daniel has elevated his grappling and overall fight game, and my striking, conditioning, and confidence have improved significantly. One of the biggest highlights has been watching Daniel's progress. Since training at Strength And Honor MMA, he has won multiple Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments and continues to grow as a competitor. More importantly, he has become more confident, disciplined, respectful, and resilient. The coaches do an incredible job developing both skills and character. My Muay Thai training has also been an amazing experience. The instruction is technical, challenging, and practical. Every class pushes me to improve while keeping a positive and supportive atmosphere. If you're looking for top quality instruction in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Wrestling, or MMA, I highly recommend Strength And Honor MMA. Whether your goal is competition, fitness, self defense, or helping your child build confidence and discipline, this is an outstanding place to train.

I highly recommend this place for every parent who wants their child to be disciplined, to have self-respect and respect for others, especially parents. My son goes there 4 times a week for 2 hours. There is a possibility to attend 13 classes a week which is in my opinion just great. I see difference in my son's attitude and I see his growth. He is stronger, smarter and faster. Thank you, Jeff

Whether you're a hobbyist, competitor or just looking to have fun and a great workout, the GB curriculum covers every level and speed. Owners and staff strive to raise the standard for professionalism, conduct & etiquette, ensuring everyone feels comfortable in a challenging & rewarding environment. Issues/concerns are addressed without delay. The kids & teens program is second-to-none, producing consistent medalists in every major tournament --locally, nationally and even internationally. If you have a competitive child looking to develop, improve and fine-tune their game; Iron sharpens iron at GB Upland. My daughters have greatly benefited from the team support. The front office is easy to reach out to whenever life/school etc., happens and extracurricular priorities change. They've accommodated my child's occasional breaks a couple times with complete understanding. Shoutout to Pedro for making the membership/contractual process painless & concise. Can't recommend GB Upland enough!

I have had my kids enrolled in UMAC for over a year; my oldest is 16 and my youngest is 5. I can…read moresay unequivocally that this dojo cares about your child; if you're looking for an activity for your kids to work and thrive at, definitely give UMAC a look. One of the best things, logistically, is the flexible scheduling UMAC offers; when your kids are on a monthly program, they can attend virtually any class so you're not worrying about conflicts with your Monday or Thursday or whatever - just choose the days you want them to go and it's good. They have general classes every day except Friday and Sunday, as well as advanced classes, black belt classes and weapons classes. With such a wide range of availability, it's not a problem getting a lot of instruction on your schedule. The reason I would choose this dojo over other local choices is simple - I trust that all the Sensei's have my kid's best interests at heart. I can't count the number of times one of the Sensei's has pulled one of my kids aside to take an extra minute or two and teach them a particular move better. The dojo has quarterly tournaments, and the week before is geared towards improving specifically for the tournaments. No kid is ever a loser; they all get trophies for participating. With multiple kids, there is even a discount for the additional kids! Give them a try; this is the kind of extracurricular you stick on when you realize you're treated like family and not just as a customer.

We ended up choosing Power of One because their instructors were absolutely amazing with kids. They blew the competition out of the water. We have now been attending for almost a year and we love it even more. My son is very shy, but his confidence is so much higher and his bravery is shining through. Big shout out to Mr Ryan and Mrs Hignite for coaching him so well and to Sensei Jeremy and Mrs J for their support. Aside from the twice weekly lessons we have done a couple of day camps at the studio. My son loves these! They keep them entertained all day on days that there is a school holiday. We appreciate that they offer these day camps. We also did his birthday party here this year! It was absolutely amazing. Everyone was so helpful with decorating. The kids had the best time!!!! We have rented jumping places in the past, and the kids actually said this was way better. My son loved that he got to cut his cake with a katana and break a board with his friends! The studio is beautiful and well kept. There is plenty of parking and it's in a central location. I would genuinely recommend Power of One to anyone interested.

I never played sports because I didn't think I'd be good at any of them, and I never enjoyed working out. I originally joined because I simply wanted to be more active and find something fun to do. I never imagined I would completely fall in love with Muay Thai. Over the past year and a half, this gym has given me so much more than just a workout. I've made amazing friends, gained confidence, and found a community that genuinely feels like family. Everyone here is welcoming, respectful, and supportive, no matter your experience level. The Krus are incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging. They truly care about helping every student improve while creating a positive environment where everyone can succeed. A year and a half later, Heart and Pride has become my second home. It's a place I look forward to coming to every week, and I honestly can't imagine my life without it. If you're thinking about trying Muay Thai--even if you've never been athletic or played sports before--don't hesitate. This gym has completely changed my life, and I'm so grateful to be part of the Heart and Pride family.
