Training at Strength And Honor MMA has been one of the best decisions my son Daniel and I have ever made. From day one, we felt welcomed by the coaches and teammates. The atmosphere is positive, family friendly, and focused on helping every student improve, regardless of experience level. The coaching is outstanding. Daniel trains in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, and MMA, while I train in Muay Thai. Since joining, we've both improved tremendously. Daniel has elevated his grappling and overall fight game, and my striking, conditioning, and confidence have improved significantly. One of the biggest highlights has been watching Daniel's progress. Since training at Strength And Honor MMA, he has won multiple Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournaments and continues to grow as a competitor. More importantly, he has become more confident, disciplined, respectful, and resilient. The coaches do an incredible job developing both skills and character. My Muay Thai training has also been an amazing experience. The instruction is technical, challenging, and practical. Every class pushes me to improve while keeping a positive and supportive atmosphere. If you're looking for top quality instruction in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, Wrestling, or MMA, I highly recommend Strength And Honor MMA. Whether your goal is competition, fitness, self defense, or helping your child build confidence and discipline, this is an outstanding place to train. read more

My son goes to this martial arts studio led by Jeff Frater and my husband and I are truly happy with Jeff's teaching strategy and method. I highly recommend this place for every parent who wants their child to be disciplined, to have self-respect and respect for others, especially parents. My son goes there 4 times a week for 2 hours. There is a possibility to attend 13 classes a week which is in my opinion just great. I see difference in my son's attitude and I see his growth. He is stronger, smarter and faster. Thank you, Jeff read more

There's so much I would like to say about coach Jeff. First, I would like to say he is an amazing mentor for the kids. His dedication, knowledge, and experience is unmatched. Our family have been working with Jeff for almost 2 years now. We have seen his class grow bigger and bigger just from word of mouth. My kids enjoy going to class and learning from Jeff. They have grown in many ways, discipline, hardwork, and toughness under Jeff. He also makes us parents laugh at his funny jokes. Come and join the Strength and Honor family, you won't regret it. read more

Strength & Honor is an amazing studio. Jeff is a great instructor for both kids and adults. My son has learned a lot from Jeff, not only with Mixed Martial Arts but with life lessons as well. He not only teaches about the martial arts but he explains and demonstrates how they can be used in real life situations. I love watching my son grow day to day and Jeff is a huge reason for that. From time to time he also has a womens self defense class which my wife loves to go to. Every women should know at least the basics of self defense and Jeff will show them to you along with many more. I always recommend Strength & Honor, even if you're not that close to it I would still recommend checking it out. Many people in his classes come from miles away just to be trained by Jeff (my son included). read more

If you're thinking of getting in shape, skip the weight....wait.....wait times times at the other places for their equipment. This place has a whole slew of classes to kick your ass in shape. What's great about Strength and Honor, is that you'll learn how to kick ass (ahem...protect yourself) if needed. In all seriousness though, Jeff is everything we could ever hope for in a trainer for our family. He's patient, caring, tough, and has motivated our boy to become what he is today. Our boy has confidence that we'd never expected from him before. Jeff also ensures that his other coaches are as awesome as he is, and because of that, now has an amazing team of trainers that go above and beyond for their students. Our whole family trains with Jeff and his coaches, and I can't imagine a life without Strenth and Honor. read more

Strength and Honor MMA is the place you want to come to! Jeff is one amazing instructor. My grand daughter needed confidence and he made her so excited to come back from the first lesson. She was so scared and did not think she would like it, but it has brought out so much more confidence I don't think she even knew she had. Jeff shows all of the kids the moves and makes sure they know how to implement them. They all have fun and learn how to protect themselves with real life situations. I cannot recommend this place enough. I have never seen an instructor who cares as much as Jeff. He is one in a million. This is why his studio is so successful. If you are thinking of trying MMA, this is the place for you! Give him a call today! read more

I love this place! Jeff's love for the sport pours over onto the mats and brings enthusiasm that makes me come back for more classes. I have competed in martial arts for 14 years and compete internationally. I find his training is great for new student walking on the mats for the first time and great for someone that is a high level competitor. You will not find an instructor in the area that cares about you as a student and invest into you as much as Jeff does. read more

Having Moderate mma Experience in the inland Empire I knew what to look for. And having worked for a search engine company extensive research was Familiar territory. What sold me about Jeff Frater was how wonderful the reviews were when it came to children. He's passionate /assertive & skilled & Of Course he breeds champions. It's a warm environment where the parents seem to root for all kids. Jeff doesn't hold their hands or coddle them but rather instills a balance of discipline & determination. My 15 year old & 7 year old sons enjoy it & have definitely gained skill & fitness. Come check it out (He even offers a free week to get acclimated to the classes). Jeff Frater so far has been a class act. read more

One thing with the big MMA boom that is being lost in the traditional martial arts is exactly that: tradition. The martial arts should instill pride, confidence, and a moral code into students, especially the children! Strength and Honor utilizes highly effective teaching methods to provide a reality-based confidence, not false sense of security, for students of all levels. In addition, students are engrained with mastery of respect, courtesy, honesty, responsibility, obedience, and tolerance. In addition, children and parents are encouraged to work together for the chicks to excel in academics and pursue a higher moral ground. So all of this sounds a bit sugar-coated, and a lot of traditional schools will promise all of this and then lack the fundamental necessity of trying techniques in actual combat. Worry not. Strength and Honor has a long history, uneven if it is a new school, of training champions, as the impressive trophy case will display for you. With a strong sense of camaraderie and an instructor who finds a way to make children enjoy learning discipline, Strength and Honor is the best damn school in all of the IE. They are strong. They carry their honor. I would rather train at no other gym, and my children will train there when I have them and they are of age! read more

If you want to learn how defend yourself this is the place to learn. Jeff is a great instructor for kids and adults. It takes a special person to be able to work with kids and have them want to go back. Jeff definitely has what it takes. My son was getting bullied when he was in 2nd grade and when he started attending Jeff's class he got the confidence and the knowledge to defend himself against the kid that was bullying him. I also learned a lot from Jeff in his women's self-defense classes. He teaches great techniques to get out real life situations. I have never been attacked and hope that i never do but in the event that it does happen i know how to keep myself safe THANKS to Jeff!! read more

Just finished up a free week of their women's muay thai class (and a bit of nogi grappling as well). The classes were fun, and the instructor gives one on one attention to every student during the class time. During muay thai, I liked how the instructor would modify the combinations being practiced depending on the student's skill level, whether you're a complete newbie or have had a bit of experience before. I'll be honest, and say I've taken classes in the past at other mma gyms where an instructor will show a combo or technique and do a half-assed job of watching and paying attention to the students in the class. Definitely not here. Great place to train. read more

If you want to grow as a fighter and as a person. This is a great place to come. Jeff is a great teacher and a true master.

I signed up my son a year and a half ago when Jeff first opened the doors. My initial impression was that Jeff's passion and love for the sport was reflected in his teaching skills. He is patient and loves what he does. It is obvious his students and their parents love Strength and Honor. My son was able to secure a first place win at his first tournament We will never go any where else. His other coaches are also outstanding. Thank you Jeff and all the staff at strength and honor. read more

Jeff is AMAZING!! I have a 17 year old son who had been coming to Strength and Honor MMA for the past several months. Jeff not only knows what he is doing, he connects personally with his students to find out what motivates and challenges them so they get the most out of their experience. His classes are not like most classes that are boring, he demonstrates the concept and then he has his students put into action what they learned. He uses this time to ensure the students are executing the move properly and not only learning offense but defense as well. If you or your child has an interest or if the thought has ever crossed your mind, come see Jeff, talk to him, watch a class you will not be disappointed. I am an over protective mamma bear and I trust him with my son. read more

I was recommended by someone whose son was trained by Jeff for many years and truly never worried about his sons safety in his teen years. Jeff came highly recommended and now I can see why. I can see Jeff truly cares about teaching the kids the skills to defend themselves... And he works them so they definitely get stronger. My son has been training with Jeff for a little over 6 months, and he really has gotten a lot stronger and confident and has learned a lot. It even improved his basketball skills because he lost the fear of getting hit and now runs confidently and aggressively for the ball. I am excited to see my son continue to train with Jeff and am very confident in the program. If you want your kid to develop the confidence and skills to take care of themselves I really think this is the place. read more

Hey guys! Ok, so let me tell you about Strength and Honor and the amazing people that come with it. Jeff, the instructor is an amazingly talented man who loves to teach, not only does he have the skill, but he is immensely passionate about what he does. You can find him here at the studio everyday rain or shine no matter what. There are also a variety of classes BJJ-Gi & no Gi, Muay Thai, MMA, Wrestling, San Soo Self Defense, Kung foo san soo, and various special event classes (from other talented coaches hand picked by Jeff) to keep the learning going! Whether you want to become a champion or have a routinely scheduled exercise session, this place is where to go. There are many levels of difficulties in both Coaches and classes and there is always room for more newcomers. Once here, you will find that not only is this a place for learning, but a place to build relationships. We are all a family, cheering and helping one another out, and you can't find that at any other place. Cheers! -S read more

Jeff taught my son and daughter back when he was getting started. I used to watch and see the way he would get them to advance and work on individual strengths. My son has been training with Jeff Frater since he was 6 years old, he has made my son into the champion he is today. Jeff teaches top notch training, discipline and is firm but fair. This mixed martial arts school is one of the best schools I have ever been too. Its a great school for all levels. From self defense to exercise to serious competition. I view this school as the school of champion's. The level of competiton this school has is serious! They always continue to make me work hard and then some. It is located in a terrific area. Jeff Frater is the most dedicated coach i have ever met. He accepts me as his own even coming from a different gym an hour away. For example: when I get ready for competition he takes the time to talk to me about what i need to be working to shut down my opponents game, he always seems to figure out where there's "holes" in my game. He meets me more than halfway. I really look up to him and his continuous growth as an instructor and a gym as whole. Everyone here takes care of each other and is very supportive. Please please give this gym a try. Jeff seems to accomedate anyone! Thank you strength and honor! read more
