When i advised that he has zero to do with the decision making process and would not be returning for possibly another 2 years, the response was I can call back then. Our window situation had a few wonky issues, and he gave us input that was valuable, honest, and upfront. Not complicated like other contractors. He was also patient with my husband and I. Because they are a small business, they take half of the payment up front in the form of a check to order the windows. We've had vendors just take the money and not follow through in the past, so my husband was very nervous about the payment situation. We were definitely acting paranoid and annoying about it, but Butch worked with us and sent us the window order just a couple days after payment to help ease our fears, and I really appreciated it. Mercer was informed of the purpose for the glass at the time we made the order. When we got the glass they etched several lines of information describing the glass and their logo on one corner. We asked them why they did that and they simply said that is what they do. We said we did not want that and they said, "too bad, you should have told us you don't want the etching when you ordered it." Keep in mind Mercer never disclosed their policies to us when we purchased so we had no idea it could happen. They would not make it right, and said our only recourse is to order a new piece of glass and tell them specifically not to etch the glass. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

Mercer installed a glass shower for me a couple of years ago and now it has what looks like black…read moremold growing on the inside between the glass and the metal frame, where I can't get to it. I contacted them and they said it's past the warranty. I think they must have installed it incorrectly because I had one for 10 years before and it never had this problem.
