So disappointed. Visited here on 5/25/19 at about 4 PM to get my groceries for the week. I got a couple bags of the pre-made salad mixes ( where you add the included packet of nuts and dressing), some tomatoes, heads of lettuce and other essentials for our week long trip in that area. When I got to the checkout, the young lady bragged to me how she didn't need to waste the time looking at produce stickers because she had them all memorized and what a wonderfully awesome person that made her. She made a really big deal patting herself on the back for this. When my on-the-vine tomatoes came through she rang them up as hot haus tomatoes which were more expensive per pound. I called it to her attention and she made a annoyed huff at having to go back, check the tomato stickers, delete the original entry and then re-enter the tomatoes. Who else is getting over charged there?? Then she noted my price, just over $100 and said "would you like complementary carry out?" I said I'd be happy to take my own out (the "complimentary carriers" always seem to be angling for a tip) but she said "the guys are supposed to do it, just like they are supposed to be helping me bag and they're not, might as well let them EARN their paycheck!" So he comes over grabs my cart and we head out. He says "how's your day so far?" I say that it's nice and ask him how his is going. He says "I'd rather be at home in bed!" I get back to our cabin and the pre-made salad mixes are rotten. Opened up the bags and almost immediately tried to seal them back up they stunk of rot so bad. They expired the NEXT day! The heads of lettuce, all three, had little black ant/beetles all throughout every layer of the iceberg heads. There had to be a forty each head. So gross. So incredibly grossed out. Next time, I will drive the additional miles to Bemidji to get my groceries. Cheaper, fresher and less awkward experience I'm sure! Here's hoping Teals is Cass Lake MN can get it together! read more
