Only two workers at the store, resulting in huge queues all day long. One serving, and one making the drinks - meaning we had to wait for 30-40 mins with approx. 10 people ahead of us. Simply not good enough! One more person making the drinks would halve the waiting time. And when we finally got to the front of the queue, we were told that they were out of tapioca pearls - brilliant! The one item that should be in plentiful supply was not available. And of course, the first tapioca scoop was free of charge - and when I asked for a free substitute topping I was told "no". Now, that's a company that values its customers, eh! And to add insult to injury, the girl making our drink simply disappeared for 3 minutes for no apparent reason. She never said anything; just casually sauntered off and reappeared several minutes later without so much as an explanation or an apology for the delay. The takeaway is that we will not be visiting Bubble-CI again. Damage done! We will take our business elsewhere next time. Plenty of other competitors in the market.

They have lots of lovely food here, that you wouldn't find in a typical chinese restaurant (because it is Malaysian food), like Nasi Lemak, Curry Mee and desserts like Bubur Cha Cha and Red Bean soup. If you aren't already familiar with Malaysian cuisine, those names won't mean much to you, but if you are, you will know they are fantastically tasty - and this place makes it well. They also serve bubble tea here (a hot or cold tea with tapioca pearls), which is the only place in Bristol that I know of that does it. However, my expectations were immediately lowered when I observed the far from endearing exterior of the shop. I thought the situation could have been rectified by the novelty of the product inside, however, this was far from the case due to just 2 from 4 machines having any fro-yo in them. Nonetheless, my disenchantment only increased when I found out that 2 of the 4 remaining fro-yo flavors were melted - how did this place pass a food inspection?! One of the two flavors was coffee, so if you aren't a coffee-lover like me, you were only left with the one - original. Now, onto the toppings. The choices were limited and I was not impressed by the lack of fresh fruit. The interior decor of the shop made it uninviting. It was dark and dingy and the worker was not there to greet us as we walked in. I would have hoped for more hospitality. The worker sat on her phone while we attempted to serve our runny, melted yogurt and did not offer to help or even apologize for the ruined product.
