I went to grab two big cold beers for a pre-party on a weekend. There were sandwiches in saran wrap for sale out on the counter. Unrefrigerated. For God-knows-how-long. The beer I wanted to buy only contained 3 out of the 6-pack. Didn't know how that worked, so I ended up buying two tall boys and some chili lime snacks, and went on my way. There are only 4 or 5 small tables inside. Menu is written on a chalkboard. They also have a meat counter where customers can get meat sliced to order or sandwiches made. Home made pies too. My daughter had the cheese burger, I had the BBQ. We both had fries and sweet tea. Within a few bites my daughter decided we would be coming back! In short, the burger was excellent. The fries were quite possibly the best I have ever had. No salt or ketchup needed. The BBQ was wonderful - as good as any from Memphis BBQ legends. Even the sweet tea was just right - sweet but not too sweet. Desert was still warm fudge pie topped with pecans. Delicious. We were in need of a bio break and some snacks, so whatever historical precedent led to the handwritten sign was pushed aside and - being that we were not violating this tenant - ventured inside. The bathrooms were very dated but clean. The soap and towels were well stocked. The store itself offers a variety of the basics and, although a bit cluttered and disorganized, can be navigated in a timely manner. The check out area is packed with more tobacco products and lottery tickets I've ever seen - it looks like this is what draws the steady stream of local clientele. Adjacent to the check out was a fully stocked case of fried foods and sausage links. This seemed popular with the patrons in front of us in the line as three of four of them ordered food from there. Went back when it had been an hour, only to be told (rudely) that she told me it would take 30 minutes to an hour to get the script from my doctor (who I called, said they sent over likely before I even left their office) and then 30 minutes to an hour to fill.... She never told me this or I would have waisted an hour sitting there. To make it worse, the second time I went through I asked if they would contact me when it was filled. She asked me if I was set to receive text messages (like I would know). I asked her to check my number and that it was setup, she then proceeded to tell me a number I've never had.... Only to find that she wasn't even looking at my information. Not sure what is up there, but definitely I would not trust them with your prescriptions.
