I'm a boba fiend. Denver is starting to get a bigger boba scene and I'm trying to find my favorite place, especially one in Downtown. This is not it. First off the price: if the drink is going to be 6.50 it better be bomb. Nope. First off, boba is not good, texture wise and sweetness-(or lack there of)-wise. Before they finish your drink they let you taste it, which is an idea with good intent... but there's a reason why no food-service place does a try-before-it's-finished thing... Your product is gonna take longer and be inconsistent. Imagine if steak houses brought you a cube of your steak and asked you if it was cooked to your liking...lol. Just serve the guest. Also the menu is very limited. Lastly the packaging: very plain and barely held together. I haven't tried the poke, I came for tea and am rating it based on the tea because the place is called TeaCloud. I've tried three drinks and every time I wasted my money. Pho restaurants have better boba for 3.50. read more

Had a really terrific experience for my first time at this establishment. I walked in at 2 o'clock in the afternoon, obviously the lunch rush was over, but quickly the young man working greeted me at the front after coming back from his workstation. He asked if I wanted to get a poke or Boba, I indicated that I was just there for a beverage, he directed me to a smaller beverage menu To ease the somewhat overwhelming nature of the multitude of items on the menu. After checking out the smaller and easier to read a drink menu and placing my order, he quickly said to work preparing my Boba tea, and this is what gets me, he asked me if I wanted to taste the sweetness of my tea before he finished. They have a very wide selection of flavors, but even with such variation the staple boba flavors that they serve are extremely bland and watery. Like the drinks we got were actually good, some tea with gummi bears or something, however the only reason we walked 5 blocks was to get "bubble tea" which is on their menu, on there building, on their website. The service is slower than your typical bubble tea cafe plus the bubbles (boba) are in fact flavorless. I came here with family and friends, we all left either unimpressed, underwhelmed, and/or utterly disappointed. One of my friends ordered a cookies and cream, I believe, with boba. He was purely disgusted with it, I felt bad since he came to visit from California. He said it tasted like they mixed some odd tea into it.. I get that this cafe is called TEA Cloud but that doesn't mean tea has to be incorporated into everything. Especially cookies and cream. My other friend and I got tea drinks that we already forgot what flavors they were except that they tasted purely artificial.. no thanks. The boba scene in Colorado does not compare to California so I should lower my expectations because I've been spoiled. Tea Cloud is located downtown and it's tiny but super cute. Loved the tea items that were being sold. There were tons of drink options to choose from but I just kept it simple and got the Royal Milk Tea with less sweetness. I appreciated the freshly brewed tea instead of powder for my drink but the flavor was pretty bland because there was too much milk and the boba was not sweetened. I really wish I went with more sweetness in my tea to balance out the flavorless boba. My mom's mango tea was a winner so I would recommend that drink. The tiny location does not leave much space to hang around and chill so just grab and go or else it'll get real claustrophobic in there. read more

So my friend told me about tea cloud !! The location is right downtown so parking does give a slight headache ... But the teas are too die!!! As a boba aficionado, native NYer and frequent LA goer, I put my foot down to say that this is good ass boba. I got the royal milk tea, which is the regular milk tea, and you can taste the brewed tea. I'm a bit lenient (hence 5 stars) on this shop, as this is in Colorado. 1) an 8oz of a regular boba is $4.50 after taxes, which I find a bit expensive for a casual every day drink. But if you're the type to have a grande starbucks frappe on the daily, there's not much of a price difference. 2) the boba isn't honeyed, so although it's super chewy texture (and a bit hard), it really tastes like you're eating plain plastic. 3) long wait time, I get that there are about only two working behind the counter, but it's definitely not a fast service. If this was a store in LA or NY, I'd dock it down as a 3.5-4 stars on those points above. However they also have loose-leaf tea and other tea options. Cute interior, not really traditional seating, so generally you stand. But very nice service and being about the only boba shop downtown with very good tea, I'd still visit again. read more

Tea Cloud is a great place to get bubble tea in the Denver CBD. A quick call at 5:45 yielded a result of them NOT being closed but rather "closing up." I came in for some boba and came out with a lesson on cold brewing tea. Tea cloud is a family run joint and you can tell they put love and care into everything they do. My boyfriend and I are huge boba fanatics and, coming from an area where quality shops are a dime a dozen, were sorely disappointed in the boba availability in the area... until we found Tea Cloud. The store offers a flat price for all tea options. My go-to drink is usually the Mango Oolong, while my boyfriend swears by the Thai Tea. The tea is amazing while the boba has the perfect soft, chewy consistency. My recent drinks have had brown sugar pearls, which I highly recommend. I live close so I go often and get to talk shop with the two and their passion for Tea is something admirable even to the most ardent Tea detractors. They simply can not understand other tea shops selling low quality garbage at higher prices. Since they don't have any expenses for employees, they are able to spend that money on the best possible ingredients. Very inviting and cozy as you walk into the wooden decor with well placed shelves and displays along its slender corridor. The selection of tea related beverages is immense and quite overwhelming. From slushies to tea shots they have all kinds of tea and non-tea flavors to choose from. So if you're not a tea person try their honey dew or coconut flavors or just ask! The tea baristas are very helpful. I always go with jasmine milk tea and boba everywhere I go. And this place I can definitely taste the essence of jasmine with the delightful layers of sugary milk, boba, and taro jelly. The boba here is like most Colorado boba shops. Medium soft/chewy. It's not as soft and chewy as their Taiwanese counterparts but it'll do. The only reason it receives a four star rating is because the seating space is literally a 8 foot bench. Living in the Boba rich Bay Area, it seemed like a difficult task as there were not too many options. Tea Cloud was decent. I was SUPER excited to learn BOBA HAS COME TO DENVER! After living in Taiwan for a year this is one of the things I miss the most, and Durango hasn't really heard of it yet... First time around I tried a royal milk tea with coffee jelly, my mom had an iced rose petal tea, and my dad had a thai iced tea with boba. You can taste the flavor of the tea and the coffee jelly was quite good. It wasn't overly milky and I kind of had to restrain myself from drinking too quickly; I only had one cup so I had to savor it! I tried my mom's tea which tasted like I was drinking actual crushed rose petals, and my dad's thai tea was really good, but the boba wasn't too good :( Hence no five stars. The boba wasn't the chewy, semi-sweet ball of gooeyness that I was expecting; I think the coffee jelly was a lot better. Hmm... so I was expecting really good milk boba tea, but the ones I tried fell a little short. I tried the taro milk tea, chocolate banana and the rose tea, they all seemed to lack flavor, they tasted more watery than milky in comparison to other milk teas I've tried in the past. This location is located downtown so parking is limited to parking meters (unless of course you pay for one of the garages or hourly spaces). There is a very large selection of loose leaf teas that are freshly seeped and brewed to order. You can go old school and take it as is or new school and do the milk version or with add ons.
