I had the service installed Friday. The system is easy to navigate. There's a helpful video to guide you in setting this up. All the channels I like are there and things are grouped together. The only problem I see is the system will not keep running. I've spent a lot of my weekend watching a blue circle go around and around. It's not nearly as entertaining as the ballgames I've been trying to watch. I'm hoping this is a short term problem. read more

Continuum provided fantastic customer service when I first moved to the area about 5 years ago. They were a bit pricey and the network a bit slow, but they made up for it with the service. Unfortunately they have failed to invest substantially in their network, and since being acquired by TDS, customer service has dropped off a cliff. Spectrum made substantial investment to lay fiber in my neighborhood and are providing service that is 3x faster on download, and 50x faster on upload, all for less money. While I've never been a huge fan of Spectrum, the quality of the network can't be denied. If you have a choice of Spectrum or ATT fiber in your neighborhood, both of them are a far better choice than TDS. read more

If you want the worst cable/internet service at the hi price then TDS is for you. The internet is unreliable at best, if I could change for spect I would in a heartbeat. Only keeping the very costly cable service because my mother uses it. We've had them out twice now since the mandatory upgrade to wireless and are still having problems daily. read more

the website says open 8-5 but they are closed 1:30-2:30 for "lunch". I arrived at 1:45 just in case they closed for lunch. This is the only business I know that thinks lunch starts at 1:30. I had to take off work and come in person to upgrade my modem because they no longer support my current one. Had to drive and be in person. Couldn't do this remotely. read more

Unreliable service. Unable to get tech support on the weekend. Waited for 25 minutes and no one came on for help, hung up because thought it was useless. Called a 2nd time and waited 18 mins and then was disconnected. Terrible service. Will be changing to more reliable company! read more

TDS Terrible customer service and billing! We switched over to TDS because we were promised great, faster service and a much lower bill. The bill was almost double what they quoted me and never would change it. Then only 6 months in my bill went up almost $20 a month. Wouldn't do anything about it so I switched back to spectrum internet. Which has actually been more reliable. Closed my account before the billing cycle, still received a bill for $18.76, you can't pay online due to account being closed and they want to charge you $4.95 to pay by phone. This service is terrible. It is unreliable. Over the past 4 wks, the service has gone down over 38 times in the Davidson, NC area. Every time it goes down my wifi router notifies me and yes, 38 times - mostly during business hours and most of the time the service is down for over an hour. if you have a viable alternative, I would go with another service. As a new customer, I have had a horrible experience with this company. I called to set up new services and was told there would be a 6 day wait due to demand. The day of my appointment, nobody showed up. When I called them, I was sent to a department that has a voicemail stating to leave a message and they will call you back in 24 hours (left a VM and nobody has called me back). I called back 4 other times, evetime I was given a different story. First, a tech was never being sent out, they only needed to active the modem already in the new apartment, so I was given misinformation after waiting 6 days. Then I was told the ticket was closed out and the internet was on. It was in fact not on. Called back again and was told the ticket is pending and they cannot provide a turnaround time for services to be turned on. I asked to have this escalated as I work remotely, and I am having to work from coffee shops while this is sorted out. I was transferred again, only to have the line be disconnected on me. As of this review (the next day) I still do not have internet. I submitted a message on their website with this information asking for a call back (nobody has called me). read more

This company is by far the worst service I've ever used. It took them over a month to get WiFi at my house. I can't do any payments online because they haven't registered any information 3 months later. Their phone service is extremely poor. It takes minimum of 40 minutes to speak with someone. And nobody can even assist after waiting. The only way to get anything done is by going into the office. Unfortunately this company has the monopoly in my area. However once another company becomes available I'm dropping TDS as soon as possible. Absolute waste of time, money and energy. Do not work with this company! read more

This company has went from bad to worse. They purchased our cable company. Some channels were dropped because they said the cost was too high. They replaced them with channels that few care about. Here in the last 2 months late night the channels are scrambled. I call support and the system doesn't recognize me as a customer. I always end up talking to someone in the Midwest. They have to transfer me. They always give me the same number to call and the results are the same as above. It truly sucks to come home at night with no tv. Forget about trying to dvr something. TDS please correct this. It's ridiculous. read more
