The drive to this place was so pleasant, it was surrounded by miles and miles of farm land and beautiful homes. It had a very small town vibe to it. I didn't get any data service in this area. They had a nice variety of cone flowers. Prices seem to be decent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. They had perennial hibiscuses, very healthy looking hydrangea varieties, lavenders, clematis, elephant ear plants and a good collection of other sun and shady perennials along with annuals. Found the most pretty looking sedum plant, forgot to buy it though. All plants looked healthy. They were selling proven winners brand too.

We popped in late this Spring and connected with Vicki, whose knowledge is incredible, and only outpaced by her obvious enjoyment in helping people. She helped us buy the perfect hanging baskets, told us the smart way to take care of them, and cheered us on as we left to take them home! Today, we went back for Fall flowers and she did it again. Really, the whole staff is awesome, helpful, and oh-so kind. You cannot go wrong here. And their prices are terrific. For me, not the best reason to go, but the cherry on top of the otherwise already delicious experience.

Recently we stopped in to get plantings for our herb garden. We found the stock beautiful, the signage immensely helpful, the prices fair and the pleasant and knowledgeable staff made the whole experience an unabashed pleasure. We're fans and will think of VVF whenever we have needs in their bailiwick.

I don't understand why a local family owned business would act this way, so I hope I've just been catching them at a bad time. Seems a shame that they just don't want to help customers and seem to be 'grumpy old men'. I take my business to nurserys over the PA line where they are actually nice to customers, or down into Hunt Valley or Sparks and pay the premium.

After we purchased the tree they planted it for us and continued to communicate about how it was doing. The plants they have are unusual and have been cultivated by their loving hands over months and years. Visiting their nursery is a special experience. We are planning on going back and would recommend others take the time to visit this extraordinary nursery.
