I have had an account with TD for my entire life. Big mistake, BIG, HUGE!!!…read moreI rarely go to this particular branch because of the terrible experience I have had with each visit. Firstly, the "Security guard" was listening to music in her headphones and dancing in the window and not being attentive to her surroundings. That didn't make me feel more secure. Secondly, I was there to deposit a CERTIFIED cheque from another branch of TD Bank. After waiting for it to be approved by a manager, I was asked what the cheque was for! That's personal and of no relevance to the transaction...it is a CERTIFIED CHEQUE from TD Bank! Full stop, we cannot proceed further unless I provide an answer. Unbelievable!! Then I was told that there would be a 5 business day waiting period. Really?!?!! I asked why and was told that it needs to be cleared. Again, it is a CERTIFIED CHEQUE from within their own company! It had already been cleared. All this, yet they were happy to cash a stolen cheque drawn on my account without any questions or even verifying the signature on it, which clearly was not mine, and scolded ME for apparently letting someone access my chequebook (they broke into my house, then my locked desk drawer to get to the chequebook). THEY CASHED A FRAUDULENT CHEQUE DRAWN FROM MY ACCOUNT AND TRIED TO BLAME ME!!! I have had enough of this shocking BS with TD Bank and I am closing all of my accounts and moving my wealth to a better bank.

The level of incompetence, and level of service is so egregious that it must be deliberate. Back in the day I switched banks when they did something really stupid. but now it's difficult with RRSPs, investment accounts, and a business account which I can only change after my contract is finished. But despite the difficulty, it will be worth having much less aggravation, I don't expect the bank I switch to, to be perfect, but they will have such a low bar to clear, that even poor customer service will be an improvement

It was very odd that a Luke N. (who is an independent advisor out of Texas) would call verifying the name on the account; an account that was not newly opened. After talking with my employer and informing where it is "an employee banks" they followed up with an email. Alikahan took my call and told me they just want to verify my name. I expressed my concern asking why is it that you are checking my name when you took my IDs when opening the account and you would have this information on your file already. He did not have any answer insisting that was the purpose of the call. I will say very clearly this unprofessional to talk and disclose to an employer information on banking information or where employees invest. It is also unacceptable to waste customer time calling when the information is accessible. I would say the only valid reason for calling is if there was a privacy breach and you have lost my ID, in that case it is your responsibility for notifying that you in fact lost the customer information. That must be why you are calling :)

This transit is brand new, shiny, modern, and empty. There's hardly any traffic which is great for me. I zoom in and out easily to get my paper work done. Now that wouldn't normally make me afan but what clinched the deal was a particular Financial Service Rep who really fought hard for my rate with their HQ. He tried on 3 separate attempts to get HQ to approve the rate to keep me as a client. After a few days of status updates from him via the phone, I walked back into this branch to sign the papers. I was a happy client. Not all CIBC transits are like this but try this place out for loans or mortgages. They really try hard to earn your business.

It's now next to CIBC at that mall entrance. It's cool that the banks are by mall entrances. You don't have to kill yourself walking into the mall to do your banking. I noticed three ABMs when I left Bloomer's to head to my car. The area was clean and had decent lighting. The branch was open for teller services and more. I liked that there weren't any lineups. It's a decent branch if you're looking to do banking while you're shopping at the mall or you want to quickly dash in to use an ABM. There's lots of parking, but parking does fill up faster on Saturdays. (275)

This branch has been here for eons. I like it for a bunch of reasons. There's parking that faces a set of steps leading to the entrance. These spots are shared with businesses in front of them. Otherwise, there's a ton of parking behind the branch. Whomever designed this Scotiabank with accessibility in mind gets full marks from me. This branch has two ramps. One faces Sheppard Avenue East if you are walking north from this street to get to this bank. The other ramp is there if you've parked behind the building. There's a button that you can press to open the doors to enter the branch. Similarly, there's a button to open the doors when you leave. I've only an ABM to make a deposit. This branch has three ABMs. I've never had any issues making a deposit here. This branch does not have a drive-thru. I like that it doesn't and I'm normally all for one. This branch has a retro feel to it. Adding a drive-thru ABM would destroy the vibe. This branch has full teller services. I've never had the need to use them. I am pleased that they are there if I ever need them. This bank is similar to other Scotiabank locations with its hours of operation. This branch is closed on Sundays. It closes at 4 pm on Saturdays. It's open a bit later on Thursdays and Fridays, closing at 6 pm. I don't have a Scotiabank account. However, if you have a Tangerine account, you can perform transactions at any Scotiabank ABM without incurring any fees. It's nice. It's a good branch that handles all my ABM needs. (216)

Having worked in the financial industry for over 7 years in a previous career, I feel as if I'm at…read morea disadvantage going into the bank. I answer my own questions. I wish I had the TDCT system on my home computer. This way I can complete my transactions faster. It would save me a heck of allot more time doing my own RSP and mutual fund investing. Why do they constantly book my appointment with a non-mutual fund rep when it clearly states on my profile that my RSPs are in mutual fund accounts? From what I recall, whenever someone calls in to make an RSP appointment, the staff member who answered the phone is to look at the customer's profile quickly to ensure the appointment is booked with the appropriate service rep. Well whatever. Each time I call, I assume they have completed the proper research to book the appointment. I shouldn't bother giving them the benefit of the doubt. But stupid me, I do. And repeatedly, each time I come in, that individual I'm booked with can not complete my transaction in front of me and needs to forward my request to someone else. Any normal person would be annoyed. Then again... I'm not normal. (Haha!) But regardless of the lack of real time service, the staff have been always been friendly, easy to get along with and have always communicated to me articulately on why someone else will have to complete the transaction. This is key. It's all in the communication. And this branch has always proved TDCT deserves my business even if they fail in booking my appointments with the correct person. Btw, the majority of this branch's clients are business customers. Therefore during the busy times such as RSP deadline day, there will always be someone available to help you with your contribution. Great location to avoid personal banking investing line ups.
