I'll remove my hat when I'm ready. TD seems to get this. I like that.

Unlike other big banks, TD bank staff has never asked me to remove my hat. They're also really nice folks who are pleasant to deal with. I like that the bank is open 7 days a week. Although I've never needed to go to a teller on a Sunday, it's nice to know that the option exists.

Only one teller each time I come over. Need to have more tellers and more financial reps at the desk to reflect a true banking experience.

This branch is very disappointing. So I went today and there was a sign on the door that said the lobby was closed 10/10/21. I found that odd because that date was a Sunday almost two weeks ago. A lady came to the door to let people out who promptly told me that the lobby was closed due to Covid. Obviously not since she'd just let two people out. I am tired of people and organizations using Covid as an excuse for POOR customer service. But there is still the question of interest - or lack there of. They use the excuse of Covid for this too. They plead "poverty." Yet the bank feels free to purchase naming rights to all kinds of athletic facilities.

That being said, this branch is the reason I chose to leave BB&T after being with the bank for almost 20 years; BB&T has easily made tens of thousands of dollars in interest off of my checking account during this time due to the balances I held. Anyways, an employee in this branch gave me incorrect information that led to some fees; very frustrating, since I specifically went to the branch to ask questions to make sure to avoid fees (with a credit score over 800, I'm not loosie goosie when it comes to finances). The branch claimed they have no authority to refund fees, so I called the 1-800 number. Then, I noticed an additional $2 fee on my account! Come to find out, buried in their website, you can be charged $2 for calling their customer service "Phone24" line...wow, kind of makes trying to resolve an issue difficult since the online messages take 2-3 days to get replies and you aren't supposed to share certain information. In summary, BB&T is NOT the customer-oriented bank they used to be. They have gotten fee greedy, just like a number of other big banks that like to prey on their own customer; they just earned one less. If you are cool with banks sneaking in hidden fees, BB&T is the bank for you! If you don't, stay away. What a shame, they used to be a great bank. Maybe I should be thankful this incident opened my eyes to what BB&T has become (I found other fees hidden on the website, as well)...gives my credit union more business.
