It was indeed quite pleasant; the teas and coffees are excellent and there's a good range of light meals, afternoon teas and all-day breakfasts. I think it's licensed to sell alcohol too. The vegetarian all-day breakfast I had was very good and actually appears to be vegan unless you add an egg. There are large omelettes too, macaroni cheese, cottage pie, home made soup, steak and kidney pie, sandwiches and several other dishes (there's a blackboard on the wall showing some 'extras'). I noticed some delicious looking cakes and desserts as well but didn't try one myself! Most of the tables seat four and have yellow plastic cloths. The waitress who served us was fairly helpful but could have been a shade more welcoming. There doesn't seem to be a disabled toilet anywhere; there is one 'unisex' one upstairs which was clean apart from the hand towel hanging on a rail. There was no hand-drier nor any paper towels so this is something which could be improved upon, in my view. It's open seven days a week and easy to find, being in the main shopping street.
