Plus, I had already visited another dealer right down the street from us (the Scotsman) and was actually planning on going with them. But when I made a follow-up phone call to clarify some details, the buyer at Scotsman was so indifferent and unhelpful I decided to see what else was out there. So glad I did! I made a phone enquiry to Used Jewelry and Tracy (I believe) was so friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable that I decided to ditch The Scotsman and brought my silver collection to Used Jewelry Buyer instead. A whole different experience. When I showed up the next day, Tracy was occupied, so Charles handled my affairs. He was just as friendly and knowledgeable and completely transparent about the fee structure (with sterling, dealer's cut is approx 20%). He weighed all the silver right in front of me on the counter.
