Avoid at all costs. Expensive, poor quality service and they WILL damage the goods. The people they send to move your furniture are unprofessional as it gets. They arrived hours late, no communication. Were visibly hangover and confirmed that by telling us about the drinking they had done the night before. The first item they moved into my house (expensive hutch) was dropped on its face. Great start. They proceeded to set up most of the furniture wrong. I have used Taylor moving and storage twice to perform cross border moves. The first time (USA to Canada) they did a good job of the move. The second time (Canada to USA), they missed items I identified to be moved and didn't cleanup well after the move. Since they only sent 2 guys , the move and unpack took really long. Very unhappy with the service. We put our contents in storage with Taylor to have them moved a few months later. On the day we were to move in they were 3 hours late in arriving. Furthermore several items were broken and several boxes marked "Fragile do not stack" were crushed. This resulted in items in the boxes, that were wrapped in bubble paper, to be broken. Taylor took no accountability for this. They then took weeks to answer our claim. When I went to their storage site in Burlington to return boxes for a refund I found their "secure " facility wide open with not a single employee anywhere. I hired Taylor Moving & Storage for a relatively small move (1 bedroom in a house, limited furniture) from Ontario to California. At first I was impressed that the company called me right away to schedule time for a walk through before giving an estimate. Many of the other companies I was considering had just sent a quote and when prompted for more information, details changed which were red flags. I ended up deciding on this company as I was impressed that during my consult, Mark advised that they had a minimum shipment weight base charge of 2100lbs so he suggested even if there were some items I planned on buying later, to maybe look into shipping those instead to get closer to the minimum. I had previously packed all my minor items myself but the two people they sent to move the items were extremely efficient and courteous. They walked me through all the documents and the logging and loading of the truck only took 45 minutes (I had maybe about 20 boxes total). They had even unwrapped some of my packing job (an office chair) and re-did it themselves to make sure that my chair would be transported undamaged. The one thing I didn't like was that they asked for payment in full a few days after my shipment departed without providing an update where my belongings were. They had assigned to me a dispatch assistance who would text me to confirm details and she was very accommodating regarding some contact information I needed changed. It was only when I asked for updates on my belongings that there would be no response. I was given a month long delivery window which I had expected. About a week before the end of the window, the dispatch assistant had texted me to confirm that my belongings made it to California and that they would need full payment prior to delivery. Considering that once it entered the state, it was close enough for my comfort, I payed the invoice in full. The delivery window came and went and I had no one contact me about any delays or to schedule the actual drop off. The dispatch assistant went radio silent and I had to call their head office to get any kind of information. Even though I wasn't told this directly, it seems that once your belongings pass a certain point, a different freight company takes over for the delivery. Sherry from Taylor Moving definitely went above and beyond in trying to get me an update regarding my shipment as it seems the other company wasn't answering her calls or emails. Had I initially known about the 2nd company or the fact that I wouldn't be able to contact them directly/choose them myself, I may have been more hesitant. Since it seems like this is common practice, I can't blame Taylor Moving for the lack of communication from the company they handed off to. My belongings ended up being a week later than the window in the original estimate but I was more relieved that I got them in the end. If I could provide feedback, it would be that the communication between pickup and delivery needs to be improved. I would definitely recommend Taylor Moving for distances where other companies don't need to get involved. read more

I would never recommend Taylor Moving. I requested a consultant come by to give me a free quote. I am only moving 40 minutes away. after he left I received the quote, twice as much as other quotes I received. Upon review they were charging for storage in a warehouse, because the move was so far. Plus he didn't have the dates right. After three tries at a quote it was still wrong, I gave up and hired another company. read more

Told I only had 2 months from delivery to submit claim how the hell do you unpack boxes when you have nowhere to put the items total not acceptable time line, especially just before Christmas. After a week of back and forth to get a quote from Mark, he gave me an estimate and a date. Every time I had a conversation with him I mentioned that it's very important for me to start the move on the 28th of the month and every time he mentioned to me that wouldn't a problem at all since they had an opening!! a few days before the move he sent me a quote with a moving date 8 days after my target move date!! after I complained he mentioned that their openings are subject to change and they can't guarantee the date (wtf) !!! We had Taylor Moving & Storage pack and deliver all of our home items. We paid for loss & damage insurance. They lost a valuable and historic work of art with a value of about $12,000.00. They did not make a list of what they packed and did not ask us to do either. They refused to pay for the loss claiming that they had no record of us owning the work of Art. I showed them photographs which I had taken, dated one year before. After submitting my claim, their claim that we did not own the work is tantamount to accusing us of insurance fraud. This is the greatest of our complaints about the "hamfisted" way Taylor Moving & Storage dealt with our move. read more

It was an unmitigated disaster. They arrived over an hour late, staff were bickering from the moment they arrived, one guy walked off the job in the middle of the move, they were smoking in the back of the truck and our daughter has severe allergies. Horrible work ethic, lots of damage claims but what really topped it is when Russ Taylor wrote me to tell me that he would not honour a claim for the box of meticulously packed chandeliers bulbs (with bubble wrap) was crushed. I wanted to share my experience​ with TMS hoping it might be of help to someone. We have a big move coming up and there are lots of loose ends we are dealing with. I called TMS and got an appointment soon enough. Mark came to do a survey for us. He is a stressbuster and so thorough with his work. Here are the​ top three things I like about TMS: 1 - very transparent in operation and quote 2 - flexible 3 - honest & thorough in their work. The woman giving the estimate was friendly enough. She explained the services well. I phoned to book the move at their office and was given the estimators number to call. I left a message that I wanted to book for the agreed written estimate. I waited to hear for 2 days to confirm. I phoned and was told they already booked the date. I selected Taylor Moving and Storage company ( further only Taylor ), out of a few other prospective, reputable international overseas moving companies in Toronto. I engaged Taylor to move my personal belongings from Toronto to Brno, Czech Republic. Prior to my final decision, Matt, their representative, came to survey the things I wanted to move; he also explained to me what the international overseas move usually involves and how Taylor goes about it. Not having previous experience with such an undertaking, it was very helpfull to me. In a few days, as agreed, an "Acceptance of Quotation / Customer Instructions " was submitted to me. I reviewed the document and signed it complete with requested dates for packing and loading. I liked Taylor´s proposal and the way it was presented. Taylor, through Linda, their very able, reliable and fast responding International Moving Consultant, managed and coordinated the overall move from Toronto to Brno. Linda, who was the single point of contact from the beginning to the end, coordinated the move with their partner in Prague, AGS Prague, who was involved in taking over in Prague from shipping company; getting the shipment through Czech Customs in Prague; trucking the shipment from Prague to Brno; and unpacking the boxes in my apartment. Linda was involved and in contact with their partner AGS all the way. Taylor along with their partners managed and coordinated the entire operation as agreed to, both in terms of cost and delivery time. In all phases: surveying and packing in my apartment in Toronto; submitting their proposal; managing their resources and coordinating with their partners with Linda as a single point of contact; Taylor was very professional, responsive and fulfilling completely their side of the agreement in delivering the shipment to Brno. I was very happy and satisfied when I found upon delivery of my belongings to my apartment in Brno that nothing was missing and nothing was damaged. Based on my personal experience, I would recommend Taylor to anybody who would need to move / relocate to a overseas location. The original estimate they gave was 8 - 10 days. It ended up being a month and a half. Unacceptable. It had a disastrous impact on our move. DO NOT USE TAYLOR MOVING!!! They damaged all of my furniture. They just threw the furniture on the truck without covering with blankets. They damaged me 55 inch flat screen that was in a proper tv box because they threw it on the truck and threw other furniture on top. They did manage to cover my glass table tops but I guess there were rocks in them so the glass was ultimately scratched. They damaged walls in 6 places and I had to plaster and paint on move day right in front of them with no apology from them. They complained about the weight of the mattresses, and furniture...pretty much everything. The lead hand was grunting and roaring the whole time. They are NOT PROPFESSIONAL MOVERS!!! I would also like to add that their recycle box program is unsanitary and a good way to get bed bugs, cockroaches..etc. I went to pick up boxes and they were filthy. One box looked like something was spilled in it and the others were just dirty. They also wanted to charge me $1000 more than what they quoted at the end of the move. This was in front of the arm chair that had ripped fabric from under the chair hanging in front of him. After damaging all of my furniture charging me 10% more because they went over time and were so slow. They were looking for a tip and when he didn't get one he mumbled I have to find a new job and slammed my door on his way out. Complete ass$@&#. STAY AWAY!! I can't stress that enough. read more

Taylor Moving advertises their exclusive box program but neglects to mention that if you pack your own belongings it voids any warranty for delivery of undamaged goods. Even though a few containers were dropped by their movers, Taylor was quick to point out that their contract states that any item packed by the owner is not covered. So much for the exclusive box program. Read the contract carefully. We've used Taylor in the past but won't be using them again. read more

Do not use Taylor Moving!! The so called Senior Consultant could not accurately estimate our weight and after visiting our house twice to review the items being moved, was still 3000 lbs. off of the actual weight. The final bill ended up being $2000 more than the estimate. After numerous calls we agreed on a mutually discussed compromise. In addition, the Senior Consultant promoted the companies rebate program for boxes. Return the empty boxes to Taylor and they will rebate us the deposit. After making numerous trips from London to Burlington to return the boxes, we discovered that the deposit for the boxes was not included in the estimate and therefore we would not be receiving a rebate. When we inquired about the conversation we had with Kingsley Cole (moving Consultant) we were told that he should not have discussed this program with us as his estimate did not include the deposit on the boxes used. Despite our argument indicating that the company was wrong here and misguided us, they refused to budge and rebate us. Taylor Moving is a disastrous Moving company and extremely frustrating to deal with. Mr. Kingsley Cole is not, in our minds, a reputable Senior Moving Consultant. read more

We thought Taylor had a good reputation and we even used them for a move in 2015. However, we ended up having a horrible experience (ongoing) when we moved in June. The crew assigned to us: 1/ Loaded the truck poorly with not enough strapping or blankets; 2/ Backed the truck over a curb at our new home and the load collapsed; 3/ Swore loudly in the truck when they found out the load had collapsed. Now we are in the middle of a 73 days and counting fight with them to pick up and repair or replace our damaged furniture. I am sitting on my couch waiting for a truck that was supposed to arrive today at 9am sharp (it is now 10:39am) to pick up our damaged furniture. The staff at Taylor has been dismissive and rude. The Operations Manager who was supposed to come and ask us about what happened will not answer emails or even have the courtesy to call us. Very, very disappointed. Our recommendation is to avoid Taylor. read more
