Dr. Taylor is absolutely amazing--knowledgeable, attentive, and truly cares about her patients. The entire staff reflects that same level of professionalism and kindness. You're always greeted warmly, and the office is clean, organized, and well-run. One thing I really appreciate is the efficiency--there's rarely a long wait, and they do their best to work you in when something comes up unexpectedly. That level of care and consideration goes a long way. I've also seen Dr. Anderson for sports medicine, and he was just as great--thorough, professional, and easy to talk to. Overall, this practice sets the standard for what a primary care office should be. If you're looking for a PCP in Charlotte, this is it. 10 out of 10--highly recommend.

On Friday, the nurse messaged me to advise that the prescription had been called in, and when checked it was sent to the wrong pharmacy. I called several times to request thait be sent to the correct pharmacy and was given the run around everytime. Needless to say, I requested to talk to the office manager, who was not at the office when I called, but was told that there would be a note requesting the office manager return my call on Monday morning - of course that didn't happen. I was given advice and told to the CVS on Carnegie since they're open for 24 hours. But as soon as I got in my car, I couldn't find a CVS on Carnegie only a Walgreens so I called them to see if they had my medication on file. The medication was not sent to the CVS or the Walgreens on Carnegie but to my CVS on file that closes at 8pm. I called the Walgreens even though I swore he said CVS on Carnegie. The Walgreens saw the mishap they told me to call and get it changed because my insurance had already billed it through CVS. They also said that the CVS shows that they close at 9 PM. I know for a fact they never close at 9pm even though it was 8:15, I drove there anyways as I'm in desperate need of this medication. They were indeed closed, and I can't change the location for pick up as the medication shows pending. I realize now that I should've checked one more time with the front desk at Novant at Cotswold to make sure of the medication pickup. I will have to wait now. The mistake cannot be fixed. This is gonna be a long 24 hours. I should've just gone to the emergency room.

The space overall may seem small from the outside but very roomy inside. They have a fish tank and the kids all love it! They have a well-child waiting area and then another waiting area for the kids who are sick. They do have parking on site. It can get packed during peak hours. That honesty and professionalism are what made me recommend her to my good friend for his own appointment which I joined. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. She was cold and distant throughout the entire appointment, which made things extremely uncomfortable. I completely understand that everyone has off days, but as a loyal, long-term patient bringing in a new client, I expected at least a basic level of friendliness. To make things worse, my friend was sold a $400 serum that did absolutely nothing. I've never been so let down by a provider I once trusted. It honestly pains me to say this, but after this experience, I won't be returning.

I started seeing Dr. Parker about a year or so ago, transferring to him from another practice/doc…read morethat I just couldn't stomach anymore. A friend referred me to him & I'm thankful for this. We're still kind of in the "getting to know you" phase of our relationship since, luckily, I haven't had to see him THAT often, but so far I'm a fan. He isn't your average doc, especially when it comes to freely dispensing with prescriptions - he actually shy's away from pills whenever possible, and I appreciate that (unheard of this "here just take this & go" era). That's also important to know if you're transferring to him thinking he'll just put you on any sort of drug...he won't! Dr. Parker is one of the very few doctors that will take the time to actually sit with you and EXPLAIN what's going on. This includes inside you, with the medications you are or will be on, tests that are taking place (and the results), and so on. I feel like Dr. Parker (and Parker IM in general) genuinely CARES about his/their patients and sincerely want the best for them. This is evident in articles such as "The Cost Conundrum" that they post on their website regarding docs that test excessively and/or perform unnecessary procedures for the sole purpose of generating addt'l revenue - what other doctor's gonna post THAT kind of article on their website these days?! I also appreciate that I've never had to sit and wait more than 5 or so minutes beyond my scheduled appt time, and if Dr. Parker IS late seeing me, I know it's because he's taking TIME with another patient, so I don't mind...and I know he'll provide me with the same courtesy. Oh, I almost forgot. At first I thought it was strange, if not annoying, that it takes SO long for a bill to arrive from them - but then I learned that they make d*** sure they've settled up with your insurance provider and that all i's are dotted and t's are crossed before billing you. I appreciate that, as there are other docs I work with that don't and bill too soon, only to discover they billed too much up front! Dr. Parker & Parker IM - a rare & much appreciated gem in the medical world.

It's not all that often that I go see the doctor, but when I do it's a good experience with him and the staff from the Mecklenburg Medical Group. My previous doctor was pretty good as well... but a little too good. It was really hard to get an appointment with him when/if I needed one so I sought out a new doctor.
