I met Sara at her studio for a "quick" interview to go over all the questions I had and to see if she was the right fit for our wedding....2 hours later I left feeling soooo comfortable, as if I just met a friend for coffee. She answered all my questions, and we even talked shop for awhile. She flew out to our island destination wedding and covered our 3 day event. She and her husband (her assistant) quickly immersed themselves, and several people that she was my friend and invited to the wedding. Usually behind the camera, she made me feel very comfortable taking pictures. Needless to say, she took some stunning pictures and captured the moments every bride, groom and family would want. We find ourselves looking at the pictures all the time. We have sooo many amazing pictures, that I seriously don't know which ones to print. Sara, was by far the best investment we had and without her, we wouldn't be able to go back and remember those precious moments of our wedding. Thank you!!! :)

I went to his home studio in Chicago and he even had parking for available for me. I felt very comfortable and will definitely recommend to my friends and family. Her existing photos were not ... ideal, but neither was my location. I was helping a Chicago-based company from the San Francisco Bay Area. Gaby responded to a Facebook post asking for help for a small business that didn't have much budget (which excluded any kind of food stylist). He came up with great ideas of how to style, and did the styling based on past food experience (and even brought some of his own props). Not only were his ideas creative, but the photos ... holy cow. They are AMAZING. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Gaby. Not only does he have an excellent eye, he's just a great human being to work with.

He just showed us the photos (only a couple days later) and they are exactly what we were looking for, only 10x better! I have never seen photos like these, he has quite the artistic technique. We feel we could not have chosen a better photographer for these very special moments in our lives. There is not a single person (both in US and in Argentina) that looks at the work he has done on these three events and is not mesmerized. He has the ability to capture those moments you only realize you've had when you look at his pics. Doug is really one of a kind: not only his work is amazing, but also he is a fantastic person. We were lucky to find someone so nice to work with, with whom you know you can really count on. At the same time, he can be so hands-off during the events which we think makes the pictures turn out better since you can be yourself all along the way! There are not enough words to describe his work, you just have to see it for yourself. He will not let you down!

I met Doug nine years ago when he did my sister's wedding. The pictures that came from her wedding…read morewere stunning, and even though almost a decade had passed, when I got engaged I knew I wanted Doug to be the photographer for it. Doug, my fiancé, and I first met up to do the engagement pictures in Chicago. Doug was open and flexible about meeting times and locations, and while I had a few ideas of where I wanted to do shots, Doug offered up his expertise, and the combination of locations made for beautiful engagement pictures. On that day Doug spent over three hours with us, talking, catching up, laughing and making sure we got all of the pictures we would want. Our wedding day with Doug was even better. Leading up to the big day, Doug was easy going when schedules had to change.Throughout the day Doug made me feel at ease, and the pictures truly show that. In the bridal room he made sure to capture all the small details: the hanger with my new last name, the bride to be sign on the bed, the veil draped over the door, the intricate lace on my dress...everything. When we headed over to the ceremony Doug did a great job coordinating the formal shots with a large wedding party, large families (46 people!), not a lot of time, and sweltering heat. He even sat with the bridal party in a stifling room before the ceremony and still managed to capture moments of laughter and nervousness as the celebration was about to begin. In addition to all that he even had a bridal kit with him in case of emergencies, such a professional! Throughout the ceremony and reception though, Doug did what I love most about his style of photography. He captured people as they really were on that day. He spent the day finding people smiling, laughing, crying, talking, dancing and enjoying the celebration. That is what my husband and I wanted most out of our day, and we are so lucky to have had Doug as our photographer to capture those moments most dear to us. I cannot recommend him enough!
