I want to avoid the legal risk and obligation of paying the opposing party's legal fees due to this. Do not let this man defraud you. Use ChatGPT for more accurate legal work for free. The one document he did prepare on my behalf was poorly prepared, margins had not been adjusted and there was a spelling error where the certificate of service line is - the word "date" was spelled wrong (other spelling/grammer errors were mine). I intend to contact the Better Business Bureau and make a formal complaint because he kept my money without doing the job. I have emails and a call history I can use to prove he requested the money via Zelle twice for services he didn't provide. There was one call I made to him after 5pm October 14th and one call after 6pm September 25th (the day I hired him without a contract because I believed Yelp reviews were likely accurate). I've reviewed the call history and we only had telephone communications on 11 days since I hired him.

My very first virtual consult she came out like a raging bull and it should have been my first clue that things would not be good. She talked over me and wouldn't let me speak. Both her and Attorney Figuero refused to let me record our conversations. They werenot good at all in responding to emails. Couldnt get a meeting for 2-3 weeks out with them. They didn want me emailing......so how does one communicate?!?! I had a status hearing and Attorney Bieker was representing me and the Judge ruled that I had waived my rights to attorney fees for lack of not noticing a hearing for Attorney fees. She did not argue one statute or case law for me to the tune of approximaty $100,000 in legal fees that I have incurred. I retained her to resolve a contempt and enforce that I had filed in November of 2024. She did nothing and my fees were in excess of $20,000 from 2/5/2025 to 5/20/2025 at which time she withdrew from my case. Scheduled a withdrawal hearing in the morning for approximately 1:00 that afternoon not giving proper notice and not allowing me to retain a court reporter that I had told her that I always wanted a court reporter present. If that is the kind of representation you are looking for ....they are your go to. I would be more than willing to share my experience in black and white. Had an issue where I was to sign a quit claim deed and she bullied me on that as well. What an expensive nightmare! If there were 10 negative stars I would check them off but I don't have that option.

Yes, I was served with divorce from my Miltary spouse and she had a good lawyer who was very attentive to her needs and gave her great advice. My lawyer, Robin, never ever returned my calls even after I paid them a lot of moneys, which it seemed all they did was bill me. Because this office was so bad we decided to place the mediation on hold the day before, which fortunately my wives attorney explained to her the process who in turn informed me. Needless to say our case was still open for about 6 years just moving from judge to judge. All this time after leaving messages with this office I never received a response how to close it and get it cleared so it would not effect my security clearance. Guess what? low a behold my wives attorney explained and even gave her advice on how to close the case. Do yourself a favor a research before selecting any attorney.

So what am I complaining about? Well, the conditions in the financial mediation agreement were not fulfilled until today, 10/29/2017. This is one year minus three days to complete a simple, simple, very, very simple financial mediation agreement. In reality, the paperwork has just been sent to the judge for his approval, so this unpleasant mess may take longer than a year to resolve. My lawyer had to continually poke and prod them to fulfill their legal obligations, which added an additional $7000 to the cost of the divorce. My ex-husband is no doubt very satisfied with the service that Cheryl provided for him. He would give her 5 stars for her weasel-like approach to dragging out this financial settlement and preventing me from getting on with my life. By all means, use Cheryl if you want to see your family on welfare, collecting food stamps, and living in a homeless shelter or under the causeway. I AM WRITING THIS FOR THE OTHER PARTY IN THE DIVORCE, should they happen to look here while checking out their spouse's lawyer. For your own mental health, tell your lawyer about the way Cheryl Abraham operates and make sure he or she lets them know that this is unacceptable. Then call your lawyer once a month to remind him or her to call Cheryl and inquire as to why the financial settlement has not been completed. In hindsight, I wish I had asked when the financial settlement would be completed, and then refused to go through with the divorce until Cheryl could show that all the paperwork was done, up to the point where the divorce decree just had to be stapled onto the back and everything approved by the judge. I don't know if you can do this, but it's worth giving it a shot, because having to go on welfare, get food stamps and live under the causeway with your kids will just be adding more stress to the already stressful situation you are in.

They immediately took a $5000 retainer from us, we had 2 phone conferences, and some e mail communication, the day of a hearing, she was not there 5 minutes before court. We called her office to make sure she was attending, they said "she is in the stairway". She walked up to my wife and daughter and asked, "are you looking for me?" They then proceeded to court, where she was grossly unprepared to the point the judge had to ask her several question she wasn't prepared for. She told the judge she had our TPR finished and hadn't yet sent it in, then told my wife and daughter she "fudged to the judge" and that it wasn't done. After this unacceptable conduct, we decided to go elsewhere, they then informed us our retainer was "non refundable". I do not recommend her for anything whatsoever, she was really nice trying to get our $5000, then things changed. We are grandparents trying to keep our grandchildren out of a very bad situation, and she was absolutely NO HELP.
