DO NOT USE. I…read moretravel internationally often and have never experienced such a terrible taxi service. I attempted to use them three times (because there is literally no other option) and each time was horrible. They are insanely rude, drive absolutely recklessly, and extort cash out of you with all kinds of excuses even though they're supposed to accept cards. They got lost and forced us to pay the extra fees, kicked my family out of the car when they didn't have cash 2 kilometers from the pick up, not to mention this oddly unprofessional exchange with their dispatch on WhatsApp. This is what a corrupt monopoly looks like. At some point ride share services will make it to Italy and end this nonsense.

Because Florence was so crowded, we decided to leave Florence a day early to head for Tuscany. Davide was very flexible and came to pick us up when requested. Then we added another day of driving to Montalcino and Siena, which he gladly accommodated. At the end of our amazing stay in Tuscany, he came back to pick us up at our villa, and drove us to our hotel in Rome. Although driving in the cities is very difficult in Italy, he never complained once, and kept his sense of humor!! We would definitely use Taxi Colle and Davide again!!

Pickup was smooth. We grabbed the airport shuttle, which dropped us right at their office. It was empty at first (they seemed a bit short-staffed), but within five minutes someone showed up. Check-in was quick, we were given an amazing car, and there was zero pressure to buy extra add-ons or pay for their protection packages. Drop-off was just as easy. I appreciated that someone inspected the car on the spot so we could sign off immediately, no surprises later. We got the deposit back right away. The price was also easily the best we found. It even beat a reservation we made months earlier. Not bad for a last-minute, same-day rental.
