While shooting a film in Amagansett over three weeks, I relied on Ladi for rides and was never disappointed. I was able to arrange early morning pickups the night before, as well as last minute rides. I was very impressed with the reliability and friendliness; Ladi is great. Also, the car was beautiful and clean, such a nice treat from the yellow cabs in the city! read more

Every time I need a ride I call upon Ladi at Taxi One!!! His vans are clean and he is always on time. His prices are reasonable. If you need a ride in the Hampton's Laudi is the first call you should make. read more

YOU'D BE BETTER OFF WALKING. I was talked into Prepaying for rides that were never picked up. I work for a production company and needed to book cars for two VERY important clients. I was walked through the process on the phone, and then was able to get any questions answered right away via text. I felt confident when I booked all of the rides, the morning came around and the cars never came, the phone was never answered (I have been trying for almost 3 hours), the text messages have not been answered, and my voicemails have not been returned. At first I was understanding, mistakes absolutely DO happen and even though this was a VIP client that ended up being picked up by a production assistant rather than a professional driver, I was more than happy to work it out, however, because they are still dodging my calls and texts AND had me prepay for all of my rides, I can't help but think this is a scam. Use a different company. read more

I only put in one star since there was no option for zero stars. NEVER use this taxi service. They never showed up to pick me up, despite confirming on line that morning. They never answered the phone when I called and never responded to multiple text message. I had to cancel my doctors appointment since they were not able to take me later when I was going to call another taxi service. UNRELIABLE!!!!!!! read more

I was nervous about getting a cab in East Hampton because of all the terrible reviews, but we called Taxi One the night before and they quoted us a price ($48 to get 10 people to the Hampton Jitney station - a 2.8 mile ride), they showed up exactly on time and charged exactly that price. They were also very friendly and helped with all the luggage. read more

AWFUL!!!! NEVER showed this morning to pick me up. Why say yes to the customer then? Should have listened to the reviews....so shady this company!!! read more

They went out of their way to fix a problem. This is how you are supposed to run a business. Thanks!

I agree with Lexi A -- RUDE & LATE. I had an appointment for a pickup at 5:20 this morning so I could catch a bus at 5:50. When I called them at 5:25 to see where the taxi was, they told me the driver had a flat tire. No call from them, or even an apology (he said they had tried to call me, but that clearly wasn't true). They also knew full well that I had to catch a bus because I had told them several times, and when I asked him how he was intending me to get there, the dispatcher kind of said "I don't know". I proper cab company would have at least sent a replacement, but this is clearly not a proper cab company. I have no intention of ever using TaxiONE again. Their reliability is bad, and their customer service is worse. read more

It's hard to believe that this the top-rated taxi in East Hampton! I wonder what the other ones are like. I made a reservation last night for a 6:40 am pick-up to take the Jitney. They never showed up and their phone number was forwarded to a Matt's voice mail. read more

Great and prompt service, actually the beast in the Hamptons, with clean cars, very punctual have used them on local trips or rides to airport and Manhattan.. All the drivers has knowledge of the routes so you don't sit in the crazy summer traffic.. I highly recommend .... read more

Don't bother calling unless you enjoy being late. They arrived 45 minutes late to pick up because they "couldn't find the house" and despite me asking that they call if there was a problem they never did because "there was no problem" - "sometimes we just take a few minutes to find the house." And when I called all I got was an answering machine. And they will be the first to cry foul when competition comes to town. read more

Incapable people. Waited 55 mins before having to cancel. Never ever again. Where is Uber?

Just missed my train back to New York because I used this company. I called them last night to make a reservation and all was well. Nobody showed up, nobody called, nobody picked up the phone, and I missed the last train for another four hours. Terrible! read more

I absolutely LOVE Taxi One in the Hamptons. Been using them for a few years as their dependable with friendly drivers. They travel from Montauk to Manhattan, all Major Airports. They even go to Shelter Island, Orient Point as well as the North Fork. Winery tours are available upon request! Wherever you want to go, call them! Ladi Smigura is the Owner and a great guy! TERRIBLE service! Booked a car at night for the next morning to go to work and the car never showed up. When you call them, you only get an answering service. I texted them to be replied that the car will be there in less than 10 minutes. It was a lie. I kept waiting. In fact, the car never showed up! They are completely unprofessional! NEVER use them! As you can see by many posts, it happens frequently that they just don't dare to show up! Next time, I will check Yelp before booking a taxi in East Hampton. read more

They never showed up, even though we booked in the morning for an evening round trip. They are happy to take all the details for the reservation but there is no fulfilment. When I called to check on the status of our ride I was told that she had just come on duty and had to call the driver(s?) and that she would call me back. She never did. read more

They sound legit over the phone, but never showed up. When we called, their mailbox was full. Don't use this service.

Said 10-15 mins and took 40 mins. Said 3-4 mins when I called back after they were late and still took 15 mins. Van is dirty with no seatbelts. Friendly driver though. Avoid this service. read more

Avoid at all costs. They confirmed a pick up and did not show up. After I emailed them about this, they then denied it and tried to say I was at fault. Absolutely horrendous service. Do not trust if you're trying to find a reliable ride. read more

A disappointing experience! Emailed, texted and actually got a response that they would pick me up at a specific time. NO SHOW!! I had an appointment that was important that needed to be rearranged. DONT Trust them! I even texted after and said how disappointed I was and they couldn't even brother to issue an apology or come up with an excuse. read more

Called at 4pm for a quick ride in East Hampton, said 15-20 mins, called at 4:30, said oh any minute now, is not 4:45, nada. This is why it is a sin that Uber is not allowed in East Hampton because this is always what you get, 15 years having a home out here and nothing has ever changed with the taxi service, they are horrendous and these guys are no different. read more

I'm surprised at the negative feedback this service has been receiving. I'm a resident of both Manhattan and East Hampton, and consequently, I use Taxi One frequently as a means of getting to and from the Jitney. I've always had a satisfactory if not pleasant experience when I call these guys. The dispatcher is always cordial. More, importantly the cabs are on time!! The drivers are local (idk why some people are saying they're not), and they know the back routes to and from town, which makes a huge difference out here on the Island. Also, while the fares are pretty standard between services, in my experience, Taxi One undercuts the competition. If your looking for a comparison to a really bad cab service, then just make one call to a service like Lindy's (who I used to use). The dispatchers are rude and dishonest. The drivers worse. These guys do it better and cheaper. Give Taxi One a chance. read more
