We were on foot because the hotel was close to most places. We stumbled across The News which happened to be serving food and beer. It was about half full and service seemed slow to start. Our server (owner or manager) not only spoke english but was very gracious and had good recommendations. I had the steak that you cook on piping hot brick and potatoes au gratin which were the best I've ever had. He brought us a super hot shot of something with a floater of whipped cream which was the topper. I'm her for a month and will patronize the place several times before I head back to the states.
