My mom and I stopped by here when we visited Fourth St Live this past weekend. The was a bluegrass band playing on Fourth street. We caught a glimpse of some amazing seats on the second level balcony. What a great view of the show and to watch and listen. We were met my a super friend hostess! What a breath of fresh air! She walked us up to the second level and we located a table on the balcony. She was super helpful to grab a towel to wipe down the table for us. Our waitress came out to get our drinks. I asked for drink menu, the waitress shared they did not have one? OK? We asked what their specialties were, and again, she said nothing really. We can make whatever you want. So my mom ordered her normal sweet tea & I ordered a Woodford & gingerale. It is super hard to hear the band from the outside seating. Inside tavern, they play more club music, and it's super hard to hear the music in the middle of Fourth street. I suggest sitting on the street level patio instead, if you are there to listen to the concert. We ordered an order of nachos and shared it. It was a great portion. The service needed more attention. I do not think it was busy at all in there, but it took until the end to refill my moms tea, which was empty since we received our food. I was never asked to order another drink either. The company (my momma) made up for the service. The place is cool for free games like corn hole, an extra large connect 4 game, shuffleboard, ping pong and more. This is just not a place we usually frequent, so we were disappointed. Maybe a younger crowd. It's your normal bar food, was disappointed with the lack of focus around drinks and service. I will try this again, soon, maybe it was just not a good day for them. (Their 3rd anniversary party was that night, so maybe they were focused on the evenings events.

I feel like if Tavern on Fourth were in the Highlands or St Matthews, it would be a massive hit. It is a huge place. Has a lot of fun games like beer pong, cornhole, ping pong, arcade games, shuffleboard, and the like. The food is decent. The drink selection is also different. 4th Street Live is just not a destination for locals. If it were, this place would be a hit. But it's not, so it's not. But I like it enough to give it 3*, and I'll be back one day.

SUPER FUN. Oh my goodness. We played giant Jenga. The drinks were great, and the service was awesome. They have all kinds of games! Really fun bar to hang out with friends at. Only had drinks, no food, but will definitely be going back. Go here for your "night out" you'll love it!

So we came in here before a concert. We thought it be a great place to go. Evidently you can't get food at the bar for some reason. And then we turn around and everybody else can get food at the bar except us. Don't come here. Terrible.

I was a little nervous about trying this place after reading a lot of the negative reviews on here, but I have to say I had a great experience! My husband and I went here for a Thursday night date night and we had a blast. There are a lot of free games such as corn-hole, bocce ball, shuffle board, etc. and there are also some pay-for arcade style games, such as ski-ball. I had the jalapeno cucumber margarita and it was really fresh tasting, and not too sweet either. For food, we tried the lobster tacos, calamari, and brisket sliders. The lobster tacos were really good, the brisket sliders were ok, and the calamari was pretty bad (no flavor, overcooked and chewy). The service was great! The main bar upstairs was a little crowded so we went to the bar in the back, as it was less crowded. Afterward, we went out on the balcony to listen to the 4th Street Live concert. All in all, a fun little Thursday!

Was not a fan of the fries. They taste like there's sugar in the seasoning. They weren't bad, but I think they try to do too much with them. But the wings!!!!

Why wasn't this brought up before we paid! This was my first time coming here and it was a horrible experience. I will not return because even after speaking with the manager all he did was apologize but he didn't really take any action...yes maybe a free drink? But who cares about a free drink after they've spent $35 and got mediocre food! I cook better than this with my eyes closed. We really have to do better....sad :(

There was a sink in my stall, and beautiful shadowbox artwork above the toilet. The hosts were very helpful navigating the place. They gave us an option to drink at the main floor bar, which seemed classy and had a stage for live music, or to go downstairs, which they said had more of a sport bar vibe. We chose the main floor bar because there were less people and we were helped right away. We got a couple drinks each and all were pretty good- no watered down drinks here! My favorite was the espresso martini. We also opted for the Doritos nachos which were pretty filling for an appetizer! The menu states it's for 3-4 people, but it was a good serving for just the two of us. It had Doritos, cheese, pickled onions, lime, jalapeños, and a mixture of beans and it was delicious. We overall spent about $70.

It's creative with a sense of joy, irreverent, one of a kind. And I'm happy to see it last in its spot next to Slugger Field. I got to visit recently when a bunch of friends were in town. We ended up visiting during trivia night, which added a fun twist to the experience. Our team, The Electric Sheep, got second place! And along with the fun vibes, we had great food and beer. I got The Smokehouse OG, which is its pulled pork sandwich served on a Cuban roll. If you like pulled pork, you'll like this sandwich, though typical to their fashion, AtG puts a twist on it with its Brown Note BBQ Sauce. We had to get the pork belly on a stick -- a menu fave. And for my beer, I tried the El Nopal Mexican lager (cracked up at the name) and Cold Ass Beer red ale. AtG is a Louisville original that's not to be overlooked.
