Underwhelming! We ordered Gyros and Souvlaki Grillteller - the meat was supposed to be mager =…read morelean, but the gyros pieces had quite a bit of fatty parts. My mom said her pork medallions were fine.
The meat portions were generous, so was the Beilagensalat (salad). The portion of grilled vegetables was pretty small. Plus a few Bratkartoffeln (home fried potatoes), some rice. The gyros also came with pita bread. It was supposed to come with French Fries, no french fries today we were told by an elderly gentleman who was not very friendly. When my Dad asked if he could have more Bratkartoffeln instead of the rice, he was told that the rice was good and that's how the meal was served. There were three sauces for the gyros: Tzatziki, mustard sauce and a sheep cheese sauce. Pretty tasty, but the garlic content was very underwhelming to non-existing.
Service was reasonably fast but not very friendly at all. The seating in the inner courtyard cozy with just a very slight breeze. This might be an advantage on cooler days but added to the smoke problem from neighboring tables.
It's customary in many (nicer) restaurants in Germany that some sort of small free appetizers like bread with butter etc. is served and often Greek restaurants offer a free ouza after the meal. Neither was served at Mythos.
