Another thing this was my first tattoo and I was so excited to get it , he didn't discuss any after care or to not go into the sun/water. I got home and it looked very infected , bloody and very swollen. I'm not sure if he wasn't very sterile with his tattoo gun or what. Had to go to the ER and am now on antibiotics. Jordan himself has 18 years of experience in all kinds of tattoo designs and was extremely informative and kind, not only does he tell you everything you need to know, but he explains the "why" behind it all. I never received the design. On the day of the appointment, I showed up. Skye did not. She canceled last minute and asked to reschedule. Because I am deploying soon with the military, rescheduling was not an option. I explained this calmly and requested a refund, since the artist failed to show up. Skye initially said she would send it, then completely stopped responding. What frustrates me most is the lack of accountability. A deposit should not be kept when no service is provided and the artist is the one who cancels. Being ignored afterward made the situation even worse. This was handled very poorly, and I can't recommend booking with Skye based on my experience.

I've had my fair share of tattoos being active duty military. Some on deployments, some stationed…read moreoverseas and some in the states. But I don't think any tattoo I have gotten compares to Hiro's. I hadn't planned on getting this piece done for a long time because the empty space on my forearm had been a problem. The space was small, the many and different designs I asked for was always "too detailed" or "impossible" for other artists. So I've been really lagging on getting the space filled in because I care about what I put on my body. I was on the verge of believing that maybe these artists were right and that I had to go for something more simple. But Hiro changed that. & he told me that there was no excuse for why other artists couldn't do it. He didn't make me feel bad for asking for something unique or for the design being "too much." He made me feel like it was easy to make happen and showed me that it wasn't about limitations. You can tell that he is precise, skilled, and confident when tattooing. He proved to me that there was always a way to make it happen--if you do it right. He does a lot of traditional Japanese tattoos and the fine line work he does is very surprising. I don't understand how he was able to put so much detail on a small space LMAO. It's almost microscopic! The healing process surprised me. Not a single blowout, no excessive bleeding during or after (in fact, I'd barely bled at all LOL). He was not heavy handed, I barely even felt the needle and it was almost painless. Even during the session he would always check in with me and ask me if I needed a break or if I was doing alright. To me, that speaks a lot because it showed me he cares about his clients well being during the session. I am more than happy and satisfied with his work, and I recommend anyone to go see Hiro. The shop overall was very welcoming and friendly. There's a bunch of other talented artists there that care about their craftsmanship as well. And I couldn't believe how reasonable their prices were, considering the care and quality of the work they gave. I have gotten other tattoos for a more expensive price with horrible quality. These people at Frosty's Tattoo Studio are not lazy and will get you right. Im sure this shop is newer and not a lot of people know about it yet. Please give this place a visit, they deserve the attention. I will be adding a photo of my tattoo in this review. It is still unfinished, and I will post another review of it in the future when it is completed. But take a look at how it came out and how it has healed so far. Seeing as it would be my sister's first tattoo, we didn't want to get anything too big or fancy. We went to Travis with an idea of what we wanted and he took it an made it his own - and it turned out awesome! Not sure if he's just lift handed but I barely felt it at all except when he worked on the bird. Travis has also done my husband'a quarter sleeve and wrist tattoo. I'm sure we will be seeing a lot of Travis once hubby gets back from deployment.
