Wow, this place is great! I drive by all the time being oblivious at how wonderful this place really is. My rents were in town and we had bought a treadmill from someone in Meridian. I told my dad we probably needed a ramp and a dolly because the owner said it was heavy. I called Tate's to make sure we didn't need to reserve the items because I wasn't sure exactly how the process worked. I highly suggest calling ahead to make sure they have what you need. The downtown location had what we needed so that call saved us from driving from one location to the next. Once we arrive, we are welcomed by help and assistance. Denver was awesome at answering our questions and getting us what we needed. In no time we were on the road with our ramp and dolly. Two hours later we returned after a successful treadmill move, (the rental was a life and back saver and it didn't bust our wallet) only to decide I wanted to rent an aerator for my lawn. The guys at the yard switched the rental items up, taught me how to use the funny machine and again, we were on our way! Again, after an hour, another successful rental (and about ten pounds lighter, that aerator doesn't mess around hahahah) we brought the rental back to Tate's. Let me just say, everyone that helped us was extremely helpful and friendly. My dad sang Tate's praises all day long saying that he just couldn't believe how wonderful and friendly every one was. I quote my father, "that place was awesome!" So when push comes to shove or just when you need probably just about anything, pop in here and these guys will help get you situated. I love that they have multiple hour rentals so if you only need something for 2 hours, you only pay for two hours. (That is their base rental hour.) Go! Go! Go! Need a power tool? Tates has it. And if the place closest to your house doesn't have one, the one downtown probably has it. They can tell you which store has the item you need. They have propane too. Now the deck is all sanded and ready for stain. Thanks Tates. read more

Worst experience. I had to talk to 4 different people, 4 different times about renting a couple 20ft planks. I got 3 different prices and then when the delivery of the planks came no one showed up. I called and my rental had been "lost". I was told that I was contacted 3 times, though I wasn't and come to find out they didn't even have the planks in and they were out on another job. I had to reschedule the installation with the client, after I already changed the price on them. They said we would receive some sort of discount and the card was charged the full rental and delivery/pick up fee. Everyone at this location seems to be on a different page and completely indifferent to customers and mistakes. read more

I rented tables and chairs from the Orchard store. Upon returning the chairs and tables the parking lot was crowded. As I was pulling in a worker was directing vehicles. My entry was blocked and the worker directed a truck to move and straighten. I was then directed to pull forward. I was directed into a low tow dolly and the fender of the tow dolly was damaged. I felt terrible that I bumped the dolly which had a plastic fender even though I was following the guidance of the worker and the dolly was to low to see in my truck. The workers forced me to buy a new full fender before I left. I felt that they have insurance for that kind of thing and I would of been happy to pay for a portion of the fender. The fender was not destroyed but it was damaged the dolly was still usable and I feel that this was handled very poorly. I also had paid for a damage waiver when I rented the equipment, which apparently was no good in this situation. This cost me a lot of money and I would not rent from them again. read more
