This place is a small, neat roadside cabin. Drive down to pretty Dunbeath harbour and you should see a flag flying showing a pattern of lobsters, crab and lemons. My husband had a delicious crab roll, which had been repeatedly recommended to us by a friend, and as my husband had been too busy fishing to take me to lunch, I treated myself to a whole lobster in a plastic pack with seafood sauce and mayonnaise on the side. Crisps, juice and ice cream tubs are also available. Lee, a beautiful, wide- smiling lady who is camera shy, serves at the shack, and the shellfish are landed daily by her husband. They only opened the hut in June 2021, so once tourist numbers die down, the shack may not be open through the winter. At the time I am writing, July 2021, there is little signage to find this place, so get to this friendly, local enterprise, before it becomes mobbed! It is a wee gem, a real find. read more
