I've always loved Filipino desserts. But I guess that's unavoidable considering my place of birth. Anyway, I've noticed that a past couple of years, people have been trying to do something refreshing with certain Pinoy desserts. They try to give it their own modern or unique twist to see if they can put a new flavor into a something old.
Taste N See does just that. I'm not entirely sure if they sell anything more than their range of uniquely flavored pastillas, but honestly I don't think they'll need to.
I stumbled upon Taste N See's wonderful confections when I was staying over at a friend's condo. My friend told me that I could have his Taste N See toasted pastillas since he was trying to go on a cleanse of all things sweet.
Good for me I guess. I ended up seeing it again somewhere in Glorietta where a small stall in the middle of the mall's halls was selling it to passerbys. If you see it, I suggest buying a small bag at least it's something you'll definitely enjoy. read more
