As far as the big 3 discount stores, I really don't like the hassel of any of them. If I had to pick a favorite it would be K-Mart on Dale Mabry.
Let's just say when I must go to one of these stores I try to go late at night or as soon as they open.
My mom is convinced that her OCT eye medication is cheaper at Target and what she uses and the amount does get pricy. So I made the journey that I always dread.
It was 9 PM and the store was almost empty, this made me very happy. I got the OTC meds and remembered I had used the last can of cat food. Luckily pet supplies were right nect to the pharmacy. I got a good deal $.13 a can cheaper for the same name brand canned cat food I usually buy. I turned around and there were cat treats, which I was also out of, (gee aren't my pets loved). I saw their favorite brand of treats and the 6.2 ounce pouch was approximately $.60 cheaper and had a special, buy 4 and get 1 pouch free, so I stocked up. The treats don't go bad and its 1 less thing I need to pick up next week.
Moving along, I just joined a Book Club and figured since I was there I would check to see if they had the book, I knew it was a big stretch, but hey I was already there I might as well look for the book. On the way to the books a friendly employee asked if they could help me find anything. I told him the name of the book and the Arthur, he punched something into a machine he was holding and told me I could follow him. We proceeded to the book section and while I started at the beginning, he came up and handed me the book, I was stunned! Then I looked down and saw the 30 percent off sticker, wow I really lucked out.
On the way to the check out register I passed Britta filtering glasses and products on sale and a 5.00 gift card for target, hey I am smoking this store tonight.
I proceeded to the check out register filled with dread. As I approached I saw only 1 light on...I was in trouble, until I saw no one was in the check out line. I purchased the Britta products first and got my 5.00 gift card. Then the friendly, helpful cashier proceeded to finish my second order, using the gift card that I would loose or forget.
Before you even think it, yes, I said YES, I am guilty of having one of their debit cards and get an additional 5 percent off.
Overall the experience was painless, I saved money, found items I needed and saved myself a few stops tomorrow. Guess I have to change my rating to 4* for tonight's visit
