The metal legs had visible scratches, and the copper top had several imperfections -- bubbles in the surface (caused by uneven glue adhesive) and areas that looked like staples under the metal. When I pointed these out, the owner responded rudely, even asking, "Have you ever ordered custom furniture before? This isn't Wayfair." That comment was unnecessary and unprofessional, especially after spending over $3,000 and waiting months for the piece. She explained that fixing the flaws would require redoing the entire top and said "this is just how custom pieces are." We liked a black, pure leather recliner with quite a few bells and whistles that we decided to get for ourselves. We have had it in our basement since and it is perfect! We saw that the prices that Bob's offers are quite a bit competitive for the quality they offer with their furniture. These days all furniture stores for some reason are also backed up on deliveries and it has been hard to find anything in stock to bring in immediately. The set is considered restaurant quality contract furniture. It looks great in Walter's apartment. Walter tries to live by the concept that form follows function. The customized metal chairs have real wood insert backrests and padded vinyl seats. Walter had looked in stores and on line for months and months for regular dinning/kitchen tables tables & chairs, finding only $99 junk and $1800 custom furniture. Pete and his crew spent a great deal of time helping Walter decide on his purchase, a gracious gesture given that Premier sold over 16,000 chairs last year. Pete mentioned that he recently did a new restaurant in Novi, Michigan, The Big Salad. So, after picking up his new furniture, Walter drove over to The Big Salad to check out Pete's work.
