Initially opened as a clearance area for the original Nordstrom in Seattle in 1973, it then opened as a standalone store in 1983. My wife and I have been to quite a few, and found it to be a good place to buy department store quality (i.e. not clothes specifically made for an outlet) for reduced prices. This location had the one thing we look for: a large clearance area for both women and men, and this store fit that bill well. It has free wi-fi, which was appreciated. It didn't seem too busy while browsing throughout the store, but then realized how high the throughput was when having to wait in a very long line. They had all registers going, and the line moved surprisingly quickly. We were just window shopping, but I ended up buying some Nike briefs that were double clearanced, making it well over 50% off.

As the nurse was in the process of piercing us, she let us know that what was gold is actually only the little ball, NOT the earring post. I mean at that point we already committed so we said okay I guess and hoped for the best. Kind of crazy that they charge so much for "gold" earrings ($78 each) when it's not even gold in the most important part. (219 total dollars spent here) Fast forward 3 months, and these piercings DO NOT heal for both me and my friend. Neither ear. And yes, we clean them twice a day with sterile fluid everyday. I went to a different piercing place last year to pierce my helix (that's cartilage, not even lobe like this time) and it healed 100x faster and correctly. Because they use quality earrings! I finally gave up and ordered actual gold earrings from Etsy ($50 each earring fully gold). Not worth the money at all here unfortunately. Disappointed!

However, we were not able to acquire an appt for the day we were both available so we walked into the Miami location without an appt. The initial greeting was more of an interrogation and the whole experience felt extremely condescending. I was blasted with a series of terse questions in a tone that made us feel like he was annoyed with us from the start. I explained that I was looking for a whole new engagement ring setting upgrade. When he asked me: "Do you know what you want?" I told him I was interested in the Aimee setting and he attempts to correct me and says, "You mean Amelie?" in a tone implying what I wanted didn't exist or I had the name wrong. I reiterated that the setting I wanted WAS Aimee. Why would you correct a customer in that manner especially if you haven't confirmed that setting that the customer mentioned existed? The tone was so condescending that even my husband thought I got the name wrong. We were finally shown a few examples and ended up placing an order for a stone and setting with the standard 50% deposit. When the ring was ready, I made a 45 minute appt bc I was looking to purchase a wedding band to go with my new engagement ring. My husband and I were standing next to each other when an anther associate called for Gerald to attend to us. Gerald came out and walked directly towards us and greeted my husband with a hand shake and continued to address him only. It was obvious that he didn't remember us, which is fine, but not once did he acknowledge me, let alone shake my hand. My husband told him we were there to pick up an order since that was on the top of his mind. Gerald corrects him stating that "this was an appt for a wedding band." That's when I interjected and said I was looking to purchase a wedding band too. He brought out my engagement ring and it was not even cleaned. I asked if he could clean it before I try it on and when he went to go clean it, he said out loud to his coworker, "I'm going to the back. Watch this. They haven't paid yet." By that point the only thing of value on the counter was a free gift valued at $1000 that came with the ring purchase. We had already paid $4000+ deposit for the engagement ring he was taking to the back to clean. Did he think we were going to run off with the free gift and forfeit the deposit AND the ring? We understand the general security concern but there are more polite ways of signaling your coworker to watch the items that don't make your customers look like they're going to snatch-and-run. In contrast to our previous visits, we picked up my wedding band today and the service provided by Gabriel was kind, friendly, and personable. He and his colleague greeted us with a smile and with none of the condescending tone we experienced previously. During our short appointment Gabriel even noticed my husband's camera and they struck up a conversation about photography. When I asked if he could clean the ring I picked up previously, he never told his colleague to watch anything "because we hadn't paid." He just mentioned to her that he was going to the back. While we were waiting, we even noticed the other associate greet a group of customers that walked in without an appointment in a much more warm and welcoming tone than we experienced with Gerald. Instead of the terse questioning, she welcomed them and asked: "May I ask if you had an appointment?" When they said no, she simply asked if the group was all together and proceeded to help them, offer them water, etc. If I ever have to deal with Gerald again, I would never want to purchase anything from Brilliant Earth as customer service is the most important part of any purchase. Otherwise, I would highly recommend Brilliant Earth for ethical diamond purchase and would have given them 5 stars.

When I tried to better describe what I was looking for she just walked away from me. I didn't want to waste the energy to get offended today but it was unpleasant to say the least. I hope she figures out whatever it is that makes her so miserable because there is nothing "fashionista" about being rude to your customers. Anyway, they have a great selection of designer shoes. I…read moreforgot the name of the woman (since its been a couple of months!) who was helping us but I want to give her a shout out for going above and beyond during my time at the shop. I was there for probably around 2 hours total - as Agua Bendita has a huge selection of swim suits. The collection is such that you can easily mix and match tops/bottoms from the same collection for a new look. Also, I like that they apply a new sticker to bottoms for every time you try a new suit on - rather than other stores who leave the same sticker on for every person who tries it on (ick!). It feels super sanitary and clean. The woman helping us really took her time to help me find the right suit for me - she was so patient and kind and helpful. What I also loved was that she was incredibly honest as well - she didn't just try to push any and all suits on me. While I tried them on she would either nod her approval or shake her head with disapproval - and WE NEED THAT. I love that she believes in the quality of the bathing suits so much that she wouldnt willingly send a customer out in a suit unless its an actual 10/10 look. At the end of the 2 hours and maybe 100+ suit combination laters, I came out with two swim suits that compliment my body type a LOT. My fiance was there shopping with us and learned that even tho a suit may look a certain way on a model online - the way it actually looks on diff women's bodies is totally different! He was SO happy with the two suits I left with. I really appreciate the white glove experience that this woman offered me - I was really allowed to take all the time I needed to try on (or re-try on) different swim suits to see what I felt the most confident in and I really value that experience. For sure, the suits are a bit on the expensive side but you can tell the quality is top tier. The beading/detailing is sewn on by hand and I know that I will keep my swim suits for a long time. Anyway, I really really wish I got her name while shopping because I think about her all the time and how this was probably the best customer experience I've ever had in a retail setting (even better than going engagement ring shopping!) So - for corporate reading this - please find the woman staffed on Oct 12, 2023 at the Coconut Grove Miami location because she deserves a raise and a bonus. Not many folks working retail would go to this level to make a customer feel special.

They trick you into trying all these horrendous looking items that you're not even there to shop for. All the clothing looks cheap, mostly poorly sown. As you shop around and look you'll see the prices are reasonable "boutique" pricing. The trick comes after you're ready to check out, the women working here scan your items and ring your items up quickly and then pretty much swipe your credit card before telling you the total. So basically $500 later on 4 items they tell you "no refunds"
