Brought cloth bags from Target years back only found Target here in Mankato makes us bag our own products we are buying. Why???

I have always loved Target but in the past couple of years, I have not been able to get even common items consistently. the thing about Target is you can get everything there. or it used to be true. try picking up usual household items, even groceries, and you get "out of stock, available nearby.". Really? when things are consistently out of stock, seems like the common sense thing to do would be to stock more. I feel like maybe they need to review their stock and evaluate it with a more critical eye. Milk? out of stock. Yogurt? Out of stock. When it's always out of stock and you start getting in the habit of going elsewhere, pretty soon it's easy to see why Amazon is sucking so mick of kcal retail. read more

I understand this is a corporate model and not the employees at this particular locations fault, but cutting hours to increase profits for this at the top hurts the customers as well. There's only ever one person at checkout and now it's assumed most customers will use self-checkout (again an issue at ALL Targets). The store is a mess and with the crowds I'm sure a great place for COVID to thrive. Have shopped here several times. This is not a super target but it has pretty much everything a typical target has. One thing I really appreciate about this store is its always so clean, bright and the staff is friendly and helpful. Mostly I shop here for running/workout wear as the quality is good for the best price in Mankato outside of thrifting. One suggestion: right now yoga wear is very popular so there are TONS of yoga pants but hardly any actual running pants/tights. I'm frustrated with how difficult it is to find these at Target stores and this one in particular. Great selection of other sports wear. Groceries: This is not the full grocery but there is an excellent selection of box/packaged food with some limited refrigerator stuff. Limited produce but what there is is always the highest quality. Have NEVER seen older, limp looking fruit. My favorite is their raspberries - always perfect. Great yogurt selection too. Why not 5 stars? Well I've had trouble with the quality of several items purchased, specifically overly expensive, poor quality candles, glassware and they have a line (can't remember the name) of dog leashes/collars that fell apart immediately. I didn't try to take them back - I don't have time for that but rather expect quality in the things I buy. read more

I love target. But not the pharmacy. They had one person working and the line was outrageously long. We waited for 45 minutes to pick up a prescription that was said to take 10 minutes. Upset with this service. Would not recommend. read more

Don't even think about applying for a job here if your a a person of color. They won't hire you because they have to cater to their over populated white customers. The diversity at target Mankato is lacking. I applied 3 times saying I was black and didn't get accepted when I know I am qualified for the job since I've worked in retail since I was 16 and I'm currently 22. read more

The second head manager was very rude to me and my friends. At the beginning there were a few of us sitting in a cart, and she asked us to get out or we will be walked out. She said that in a very stern way like she had asked us many times before. We all live about an hour away and have never been here before mind you, and she said that she has one of us on video from a while ago, but we have never been here. She was constantly on us. We were sure to be respectful after she talked to us the first time but she proceeded to nag us when we checked out, and when we asked to see the video she had, she said she would call security on us and have us walked out. In short, we will never be going there again, EVER! read more

I shop at Target a lot and I was VERY disappointed with ordering on line and picking up. I ordered an item not available in my store but available on line and added a couple other items that usually are stocked there so I could qualify for the $5 gift card. I was notified my order was ready for pickup so I drove the 25 miles RT to pick it up and the one item that had to be special ordered was not there. The other items I could've gotten when I was in town instead of making a special trip. I was told by the manager I would just have to order it again and he cancelled the entire order so I had to pay for the stuff again. There was no apology, no sorry for the inconvenience, nothing. He just walked away. Oh and because the one item that had to be special ordered was not there of course I also lost the $5 gift certificate. Needless to say I ordered it elsewhere delivered to my house and actually spent less money. read more

i went here because i had a gift card for 25$. they did not have any videogames i wanted. so i went over to the DVD isle and bought indiana jones 3 and cloverfield which are cool movies. but 2 DVD'S for 25$, that's a good deal!! read more

This Target is way too busy for me. The parking lot is always full with a huge amount of people inside. I think that is because it is attached to the River Hills Mall right next store. Better to go to Shopko which has less variety, but also far less shoppers. read more
