I ordered a doll from the Fredericksburg store for pick up. Since I was in the falls church area I figured I would go ahead and see if they got it. They had one left so I picked it up to save a trip. The asked the cashier and she said I would have to cancel my order and pay for it ... ok not a big deal that's what I did. After paying for it I noticed a 6 dollar difference so I showed the lady and she said sorry. They don't price match from store to store. So I am guessing all the stores are different. I left the store and called the manager on the phone. Chris explained to me they don't price match stores. So I asked you don't price match but you take exchanges from other stores correct. He said yes. So I asked if I go buy 10 dolls from Fredericksburg and bring to his store I just made 50/60 ... he said (yes, no... they lady is confused you can price match one item. Hello I bought a DOLL!! I just asked and you told me no... sounds like the caisand manager need training! Called the customer service hot line and they are sending me my 6 dollars back. Yes they do price match between stores. So I never got my money back as they said I would. I called back and they said the first person never pressed send. It would take another three days to receive. So we will see today or tomorrow. So after two phone calls and then a third today they said another 2-3 days. I spoke to a supervisor so we will see... Smaller then regular targets I feel. The selection for food is it seems limited. Produce section is fairly small. But compared to the store across the street I will take my chances here. Atleast I know the produce for the most part will be fresh. The store overall is clean and well kept. read more

This is a decent sized target in the Skyline area. Has a starbucks in it. Pharmacy staff were very pleasant and helpful. Could use more cashiers, especially around dinner time. it was packed with lines 6 deep. A couple of things: 1. you have to pay to park. weird, i know. and 2. they didn't pick up the trash in the cans near the entrance, there was lots of trash to wade through to get to the front door. 3. Don't try to steal the carts, the wheels lock if you try to escape with them. read more

As a frequent target shopper I have never been more disappointed in target customer service. The manager, Rea, was absolutely awful and rude. I have never experienced such awful customer service - to the point I called to headquarters and complained. Some people should not be working in customer service if they are miserable and can not do there job correctly. Will never go back to this target. Update: I went to the customer service at the target 10 minutes down the road from this location and had a much better experience and received the help I needed pleasantly in under 10 minutes. PROS:: I love this location! The parking is not free, (( yes it is )) but I have been there and stayed super long and never had to pay. I believe you will pay after 2 hours there, so set your timer! The young lady from the Middle East who is usually doing returns/exchanges is super sweet!!!!! She is so pleasant and kind to me each time I see her! I had a few items to exchange but I couldn't find my receipt but no problem, they just scan the card you paid with and wah-lah! =) I love using my Cartwheel app and it tells me if the item is in stock at this particular location. I found a cell phone near the men's t-shirts that were folded so neatly! I turned it in hopes they found the owner as most don't turn in iPhones or any phone! CON: Most weekdays the only option to check out is self-check out. That is okay if you have a few items but most don't and with the government building next door the line gets super long. read more

I come in this Target about once or twice a week and the products for POC are always empty. The make-up brands like Milani, black radiance, black opal, Iman are always empty here and is sad. The hair brands like The Mane, Mielle, Shea moisture, kinky curly, Curls, Mixed Chick and Camilla rose barely have any products. It's like whoever buys for this store forgets about these sections. Ok if they go so fast keep them stocked like you have all the other brands. I've been waiting for 2 months for them to stock the Urban Skin X line, I have to go to a target that's waaaaay out the way because they never have anything here. Don't get me wrong it's very convenient for when you need to grab something real quick but they barely have darker shades of foundation in any brand foundation. It's pitiful!!! I came to this target for some shopping and a snack for my son. Got my son a pretzel but when he sat down to eat it it was so rock hard that he actually hurt his teeth. I showed the guy and asked for a fresher pretzel but was told they don't give replacements. I found a manager who touched the rock pretzel and then told the other guy to replace it. Unfortunately there is no cafe employee to cover the regular cafe guy's break so we have to wait until his is over. That's annoying. read more

Drove to Target today so I could purchase a mattress topper and a video game. None of the mattress toppers were available in "full size" and despite waiting 20 minutes, there was no one available to unlock the case to retrieve the game. The store was not busy... There just wasn't anyone in electronics despite an employee paging them for me. The turnover here is like clockwork. But man, I was pissed. I went, mainly, to pick up a Snuggie. No, it wasn't for me. I also saw the last copy of Left 4 Dead 2 for Xbox, so I wanted it. It wasn't dude's fault that Target's policy is that you have to pay for whatever's in electronics at the electronics counter. Maybe it wasn't dude's fault that I had to walk around with a cart full of shit for 10 minutes just looking for him to ask him to get L4D2 out of the case. And then when he reminded me that I had to ring up there, it wasn't his fault that I didn't have a Snuggie in my cart yet. But it was his fault that he told me Snuggies were in aisle F34, clear across the store the size of 80 football fields, and that there weren't any Snuggies to be found. And then when I came back he ignored me for another 10 minutes because he was busy helping Lil' Wayne buy a PS3. And then when I asked "Can you ring me up?" He got some curt bitch to do the button-pushing--I pretty much had to scan items myself. It also took her two days to walk to the damn register. So I left a bag of tater tots in my cart. And she knew they were mine. And when she, surprisingly quickly, left the register and saw the tots, she asked if they were mine. "No." "THESE aren't YOURS?" "No." Huff, huff, pass that shit to customer service. That's right, walk all the way to the front of this huge store. You waste my time, I'll waste yours. read more

I am a former Target employee in Texas from 2006-2011. I have always liked shopping at Target and used to get everything from clothing to food to living basics. The bad service and ill-stocked Target stores in this area have changed me. Let me share a typical visit. I battle the many cars in the parking lot and grab my ticket to park (you have to pay if you stay longer than 2 hours). I go inside and can't find at least half of the items on my list. I go to the front. There is one lane with a light on and another without a light on that has customers. I ask if they will be opening another lane since there are over 8 people waiting. The cashier ignores me. I ask the GSTL (head of front lanes) the same question. He ignores me and starts to chat with the cashier who is now off the lane. Now 11 of us are waiting in line for the one open lane. The GSTL finally decides to call for a back up. He still does not jump on a front lane, but sends me over to the newly opened lane. The cashier does not speak the whole time. I pay, grab my items, and battle my way out of the crowded parking lot. I do not go here often and often dread having to go. The Seven Corners location is very slightly better. read more

A Target that requires you to pay for parking after a certain amount of time really erks me. This is the only Target I've seen this this at. I guess I get it with office buildings being around, and they don't want people parking here illegally if they are going to work. Still, I know that Target runs can be timely, but should not be as costly unless it is the merchandise you're buying from inside. Now that rant is over, this Target is open until midnight daily except on Sundays. The employees are nice. The produce section is larger than the Target in Potomac Yard, and they have a huge selection of clothing. I like this Target with its convenient location to my home. I don't go here that often, but when I do, I make it worth my while and stock up on needed items. That is -- when they're not out of stock which seems to happen more frequently than not, and it always of the very things I need. My roommate bought a Swiss brand backpack last night which I know will last him years. Quality here definitely overrides Walmart. Just know you're going to be paying a little more than you would at Walmart too. read more

Of the 3 Targets around my home I end up here most often - mostly because I'm over this way more often than the other 2 and the staff are somewhat more helpful (certainly more than the one at Potomac Yards). This Target has a good logical layout and nice proportion between the departments - the only one really lacking is automotive. You're better off going to the nearby Autozone than heading here, even for something as simple as windshield washer fluid. There are the expected aisles of shelves of grocery items (where depending on the week you might score some significant savings over the supermarket) but its the little freezer and fresh meat section that has really surprised me. Prices are very competitive with the grocery store and one can regularly find proportioned Angus steaks for a steal over Giant and Safeway. The only real downside of this location is their inventory issues. They can regularly be out of the most common of items for several weeks. On a recent visit that was the 100w equivalent of CFL bulbs (don't bother coming here for regular light blubs - they don't seem to carry them anymore). But more often than not I can find what I need and often at prices that rival even online retailers so I'll keep coming back. read more

This is a really big Target, so by the time I find what I need, I'm irritated when I have to stand in line for one item. Walmart is too far, so this is the only place to go in the neighborhood for certain items. Also, this parking lot sucks. I had to back out of a parking space like a mad woman the other day in order to get out the lot. That exit gate at the front is irritating because it causes a long line of cars. Omg, I can't believe how many people complain about this Target and it being out of stock of everything! What the hell do you buy that is out of stock all the time. Get a freaking raincheck, people. Whenever I come here I always get what I need. Nothing has ever been out of stock for me. I also do a lot of impulse buys too. I spend a good $300 to $700 a month at Target. You people complain too much about the long lines. It really ain't that bad. The lines are longer at the Giant supermarket or Trader Joe's, and even there I don't complain about how long the lines are. I love the set up of this place. I live closer to the one in Springfield, but I can't stand the 2 floor set up, and it just feels and looks awkward. I don't like the one in Potomac Yards either. I don't know if something was wrong with the lights one day, but it just seemed so dark in there and feels so tight and closed in unlike the one In Bailey's. Workers here seem cheerful and friendly, but then again I don't harass them or rarely ask anyone for help. They make $8 to $10 an hour so I am not one to judge people as harshly as a lot of people. I always get my kid's clothes here for a bargain, especially clearance. Where else can you get summer t shirt's for $3? When we go to this Target. It's always a fun activity. However, they have taken out the video consoles, which my hubby and kid always played with so now that's gone. I love Target products and limited edition designer clothes lines. I will never tire of Target. Beats Walmart any time, and their seasonal décor is the best. Where else can you get Biore nose strips, Legos, cereals, and Jason Wu all at the same place? read more

I prefer this Target to the Target in Potomac Yards, however, this one still has its pitfalls. Namely, parking is only free for the first two hours. Now, I personally don't think I have ever spent longer than two hours in any Target, however, I understand the masses of people griping about this fact. This location has a larger clothing section than Potomac Yards and it has a Starbucks. This store just seems more logically organized whereas at the Potomac Yards location I feel like I'm constantly wandering aimlessly and can never find anyone to help me locate things. I generally feel this location has been less crowded than PY when I've visited which makes for a more pleasant shopping experience. read more

The staff member at a cash register told me to use self checkout at 9 am and then continued to stand at the register and chit chat with another Target employee instead giving me a hand. Who wants to do self checkout when they have items made of glass and an energetic toddler? There should always be at least one checkout line open in a huge store like that. This location is nice but it like a smaller one from Potomac Yard and Springfield Mall location. But this has a Starbucks by the lobby. They still sell the same cook food like the other Target. Great staff and friendly people. But with some item is sold out and need restocking. But over all for some of my item I come to this location. read more

As far as Target goes, it's got all your standard stuff. My gripe is the parking lot during the week. You have to get a parking ticket and show it on your way out (but they don't need proof of purchase), and the drivers can sometimes be a little crazy to deal with, especially around the holidays. While the parking gates go up on the weekends, it becomes a zoo. I've asked the staff for assistance in locating an object a couple times and they've been helpful enough, even if they don't go out of their way to personally direct you to the item. read more

I begrudgingly like this Target. We can start with the fact that I have never come in her and not found exactly what I needed. Then we can move on to the fact that the store is large and I've never felt as if I've been assaulted by other people trying to get their carts past me. In fact, I can't think of a thing that is wrong with this Target. My only thing that bothers me about this Target is that during my college years (the early 90's), the Skyline Mall was a refuge where my friends and I would go to see a movie outside of the city. It seems silly today, but when you are 20 and only one of your friends has a car, going somewhere off the metro is fun. After years of decline, this Target makes up most of what used to be the mall. I went to this target after the other target in Alexandria didn't have what I was looking for. The outside kind of looks dirty and old but the inside made up for that. We got some food here, however, i don't really trust any fresh fruits from this target. We were looking at strawberries and these strawberries had mold/fuzzy white things growing on them. They didn't look fresh at all - same with the other fruits. So we brought our fondue set and went to Harris teeter to buy the fruits. Good for non perishable items. read more

I know it's only Target, but I still felt the need to throw up there that almost every time I come here, they only have a handful of checkouts open. And some DIY lines would be perfect. Their stocking in their newer grocery areas is weird too. I learned never to do my shopping on Sunday's at this place as once they're out, they must not get shipments until the beginning of the week. I work next door and I'm grateful for the grocery section in particular. That being said many of the complaints about the poorly stocked shelves and long checkout lines are true. When the worker bees come down from the offices the store manager lets the cashier staff off on their break simultaneously. Its is not uncommon to wait behind 4-5 customers deep for checkout at 12pm. Most of what I want for lunch is available but when something does go out of stock it can be days before it comes back. I will say the cashiers are very friendly and the staff on the floor is helpful. read more
