From the lies upon scheduling to the rude treatment upon having the appointment, I am not sure why all of the previous reviews are positive.

This office was listed as one to switch to when my long time ENT doctor retired. Finally was able…read moreto get an appointment months later after the retirement notice. Showed up early to fill out the paper work then it was a waiting game. Finally after 2 hours, I said something - funny how once I complained it was my turn suddenly. After a 2 hr wait, the appointment took 5 min and I was informed that there had been an emergency the day before so those people were being prioritized into the schedule with the people who actually had set appointments. I recommend that if that happens again, you call and reschedule people instead of making them wait 2 hours. Needless to say I won't be back.

Bedside manner goes a long way. He has none! Rude and treated my husband like a drug addict when he…read morecouldn't get his pain under control right after surgery. Finally after several hours in recovery he comes in the room and loudy says "do you abuse drugs" ha my husband doesn't even drink he was just in a lot of pain and knows what works as this was his THIRD surgery on his ear. We were embarrassed and had never been treated like that from anyone. We would never treat someone like that so was very upset to be treated this way. He handed him a rx for 10 pain pills and stated "I've done over 500 surgeries and never had to give anyone stronger pain meds" then he very cocky like walked out. Needless to say my husband will not even go back for his follow up he just has lived with the still continuing pain in his ear. (This is the first time I've ever left a review on yelp and hopefully the last negative one I just felt strongly about sharing this so others can do their homework better than my husband did I took several weeks before posting this so this isn't a fast out of anger review. I tried to calm down from this whole experience and review with a clear head)

Sorry, but i leave honest reviews. For those saying this dr listens to your concerns and gives…read moredetailed explanaitions, that wasnt the experience my caregiver and i had. I came in because i have documented CHRONIC tonsilitis/strep/bronchitis to where i am coughing up blood, bloody tonsil stones, and lose my voice for months even with rinses and antibiotics. EVERY YEAR. Its worse every year. This dr astonished me with his contradictions. He said he needed samples/cultures, but wouldnt do them until 2 weeks later(sayIng he needed a tonsil stone, also) For some reason, he didnt do a basic flu or strep swab. Any urgent care would immediately. Why even go to a specialist if this is how youre treated? He poked out one of my tonsil stones, and said he could use it as a culture/specimen, but WOULDNT use it as the specimen though it was spit out into a napkin which i offered to retrieve, or offer to have him poke out another, as i had no problem sitting still as a statue for the examination, and they come out easily en masse. He said my tonsils are super small from all the damage, as did my previous surgeon. A 1 out 4, 4 being the largest. Then contradicted saying mine are just naturally small, with 4 being normal... what? Do you see what im saying here? (I already know for a fact, from my previous ENT who did my other surgeries, that theyre so small BECAUSE of the chronic illness, obviously, which we explained.) I was prescribed an otc mouthwash ive used for many years, not knowing its what he meant since he chose not to say the name. Im still sick, and need my tonsils removed still, which this dr is completely clearly not going to do, so i dont know why they stressed me out and wasted my time, exposing me to a waiting room of sick folks on top of it when i have a large surgery in just 2 weeks. I am so disappointed that this is the referral i was given, and this man COMPLETELY DISREGARDED MY MEDICAL HISTORY, contradicted it with his own beliefs, refused to do a single swab, and gave me a med i already have at home. Also didnt even send in one covered by my insurance, so i also wasted money. Im incredibly ill already and need surgery for a giant mass to be removed from my organs, i have chronic illnesss and am disabled, now on top of it my treatment for my severe chronically infected tonsils has been deferred by a man who seemed to not even understand a word of english being said to him. If you need surgery and its already been established by another ENT you no longer have access to, like my situation, heed my warning and dont waste your time here. Or see another dr here. The staff otherwise was kind and friendly. This man, however, is clearly in the wrong practice if he is willing to prolong someones sickness and suffering just because he doesnt want to operate- why even be a specialist in this field if youre using preventative measures when its already far too late? Im shocked and surprised by this blatant disregard of a patients health simply because a dr prefers not to perform a procedure that I WAS REFERRED TO HIM TO HAVE THE CONDITION CHECKED OUT, SURGERY SCHEDULED, AND COMPLETED. I literally traveled, in horrible condition, to this appointment just to be sent home without a single test done. It reminds me of the time i went to the hospital for a miscarriage and they didnt bother with a single urine or blood test or ultrasound to see if i needed a d&c. Bloody stones literally popped loose as this dr gently prodded them, and still no cultures were taken. No swabs. Im just flabbergasted at the incompetence. Im used to it, but wowwwww. Im supposed to go back in 2 weeks, but he shouldve just referred me to a dr willing to discuss my chronic tonsil problems that deeply affect me. I see no reason to go back, since he is not offering a solution, but bandaids to prolong the issue. Ill come back and add photos of my bloodied throat so you know this is not the place to go if you need your tonsils removed- no matter the condition, your medical history will be ignored and youll be prescribed an over the counter mouthwash that insurance doesnt even cover and prescription coupons dont even apply to. I would laugh, but my throat is still bleeding.

Dr. S introduces himself and goes straight into my medical history. I had to ask the other 2 why they were even there on my own. I wasn't there for anything urgent except being laid off from work, potentially limiting my good insurance to just 3 more weeks. He was so perturbed by this. Rather than offer any level of condolence for what happened to me or quick-action strategy plan as to what he recommended to be beneficial (or not) at this time, he looked at me like a pest. Refused to refer me to a speech therapist, insisting I come back when I "got things straightened out". I refuse to work with a Doctor that cares so little for their patient's wellbeing and looks down on them like Dr. Sanford.
