The staff are the friendliest people in Winston Salem. Luis is a tremendous dude. Aside from his in depth knowledge of the menu, he had excellent recommendations. The small talk was absolutely our pleasure. Luis is a cool guy and wonderful soul. As first timers, we went with the ribeye tacos. Let me tell you, it's a legit ribeye on a taco. It was a fantastic cut of meat and incredibly tender. Luis recommended the habanero salsa. Chef's kiss! It was perfect. Anyway, I loved the place. If you're downtown, check it out.

The atmosphere is lively without being overwhelming, and the bar area is a nice spot to unwind and people-watch. The bartender was attentive and welcoming, which definitely added to the experience. I ordered a mango margarita, which was refreshing and well-balanced and one of the highlights of the visit. I also tried the shrimp and scallops dish served in a pineapple, which was flavorful and fun in presentation, though I did feel the pricing leaned a bit high for what you receive. Overall, it's a solid spot for drinks and a casual night out, especially if you're sitting at the bar. I'd return for the margaritas and the vibe, just with the expectation that it's more of a splurge than an everyday stop.

The portion was huge ,definitely a plate you can share (or not, no judgment ). The flavors were on point, perfectly sauced, and super satisfying. Of course,we had to get tacos, and they did not disappoint. Fresh, flavorful, and consistent every time I come here. And can we talk about Mondays?! I had no idea they offer free cheese dip on Mondays, which is a major plus for me. Anywhere there's free queso, I'm there. Say less ...I'll be pulling up on Mondays from now on haha. I love seeing restaurants grow and improve, and you can tell they're putting in the effort. Big shoutout to them for elevating the experience. I'll definitely be back!

Despite a full parking lot, we were seated immediately. Like always, service here is very prompt. We started with drinks - I got the house margarita with a Tajin rim, and my wife had the skinny margarita. Both were fantastic, though the skinny, by design, was very tart with the lime juice since it was low on the syrup. No complaints here. Chips and salsa are a staple of any good Mexican restaurant, and here the chips are served warm and the salsa ever so slightly spicy. We also ordered cheese dip which did not disappoint. For entrees: Burritos Deluxe and Enchiladas de Lujo. Both were served within minutes of ordering, piping hot, and full of flavor. The serving sizes were huge and we both took plenty home for the next day. Prices are good, service fast and prompt, the decor and music fits expectations - Pancho Villa's has all you need for a meal after a day of shopping nearby.

If you get a window seat, you can see the Kaleideum Children's Museum. Be sure to plan on a trip to the museum if you are with kids. There was music playing for lunch but it wasn't too loud. The food is good. There's free refills on the horchata which is made in house. Chips and salsa are served the moment you sit down. I ordered the Steak Tapatio which was good but didn't feel like it was made with ribeye which is usually tender and flavorful. The steak in this dish was tough even to cut but still yummy. However, the potholder used to serve the dish was filthy and the knife to cut it was so loose I couldn't use it to cut the tough steak. . My husband ordered the carnitas. It was perfect. There was enough between those to plates to share with small children. The interior is beautifully decorated in bright colors with Mexican motifs. Even the glassware is exquisitely handblown with swirling colors. The servers and staff were friendly and attentive but not obtrusive. We were greeted when we arrived and wished a warm farewell when we left.

They don't allow you to order lunch portions at dinner(even with an up charge like at other Mexican restaurants) Staff were pleasant, birthday celebrations come out of nowhere, so most patrons jumped (be warned)! LOL! Due to the smokiness of the fajitas, that does come to the table first - before your freshly made corn tortillas, before your plate of toppings & sides. I was told that they set off the smoke detectors in the kitchen. Seems very odd seeing a restaurant can time the food delivery and bring the "cold" items first and the "hot" items last if they need to arrive separately. #justathought

There is a candy stand at the desk too. The service and attention to detail was amazing. The fooooood was a big star. I am on a mission to branch out and try a lot of new food this year, and today that included a bit or two of each dish ordered- An ACP dish, a burrito, a steak taco, spicy sauces, queso and chips, and my actual order- the pupusas. Everything- was absolutely delicious. I really enjoyed the pupusas- which I hear may be a salvadorian influenced dish? The shrimp in the different dishes was cooked perfectly- which I know from my various excursions and attempts in the world and my own kitchen- is not a guarantee. Accessibility notes: FULL stars. Various seating and options, tables and booths, room to navigate comfortably. A small ramp outside on the curb. And the bathrooms were actually fashioned correctly- in the handicap stall the bars were in the right places and at the right heights- as was the toilet paper holder- no bending necessary to access it seated. The door to the restroom was not too heavy either. Very refreshing as this is often a chaotic messed up set up at some place. We came as a group, for a friend lunch date after thrifting and we had a fantastic time! So happy and we will definitely be back!

Most of the tables needed to be wiped off including the one we picked but the staff kindly walked over to clean everything up. Our server started off a little rocky but we still managed to have a great time. I order the Birria tacos and order a drink, and so did my friend. The Birria tacos were really good but I do think it could use a little more flavor. I still ate every bite. The Salsa and Queso was honestly my favorite. I love Queso anyway but theirs did not disappoint. It was so hot with no lumps! Overall, I would recommend for a quick lunch date and the drinks.
